I love the casual arctic vibe you've got going on here.  The only thing I don't really like is the pants-they look kind of like sweat pants.  I feel that sturdy wool pants would look better than this fleecy material, because of the solid flannel toggle coat up top.

^^ $0.02 ^^

that's really unrealistic, svb. how can one person afford a sex change and also a time machine? let's just stick with the possibilities, ok.

This is a quintessential yuppity-preppy New Yorker look at Christmas time...The colours are traditional and all the requisite elements are there--the blazer, the wool pants, the Oxfords...but what is special is everything is noticeably different, unique, on the cutting edge. The shirt is nice, with nice touch at the collar with the contrasting colour. Grey pants have a nice texture...Jacket is subdued as it ought to be...coat is nice, very a la mode and stylish. And the fit on everything is exact with a mathematical precision....even the unshaven sans-froid, for the New Yorker is the centre of the universe...he indulges only himself, he does not care what others think, he does not groom for them...
I don't know why this fit didn't get more attention...but then neither did my post about our choir. Maybe it was all the infighting posts today, but mind you, the politics and the infighting of the choir make this place look like Mother Teresa's Mission...we may be singing "Peace on earth and goodwill to men" but there is neither peace nor goodwill...Lady Miran is the director, nay...directrix...for the Choir next year--God help us when women direct the choir, only disaster can follow...Lady Miran can't keep people in tune, let alone direct the fracas...

Miran, I'm not sure if you're teasing me or not but this is very on point. Scary, almost.

Either way thanks for the kind words, but I mostly wanted to let you know I really enjoyed the choir video earlier, even if I didn't comment on it. I doubt I was alone in this sentiment as well.

hey i wanted to say, if you could get rid of the sweatpants, and replace that zip thing with a plain or block colored knit instead or even a thin plain black cardigan it would look nicer in my opinion. well, speckled pants would i would say good if the knit was solid, otherwise solid pants and a muted pattern or low-contrast colors on the knit. just some ideas you can figure out how you like it best tho

Yeah this is exactly what I would have said as well. Is the jacket you're wearing that T by AW one? If you got the black version instead this would be better already, although I'm not too crazy about the plaid coat :-/

Everything shah said is a good way to make it better though for sure

thanks for pro-tip but first i need a nice knit.

Haha, i guess right now i'm just too tired from having a shitload of applications and just end up throwing clothes on. ffffuuuu.gif

Edit: yeah, it's the T by AW, in... tabacco. And i'm a bit on the edge with the plaid coat too, but it's growing on me.

I think they are a pair of... Doucals that I no longer have.

I wear that coat regularly still - it's awesome. And the scarf.

I prefer to tack on "I'm just sayin'" at the end. Especially after a really hurtful and personal insult. Yeah...

Co-signed. T-shirt, inseam, and sleeve lengths disqualify some pretty good brands (I'm looking at you, WvG plain.gif ).
