You see, I live in extremely unfashionable, extremely large city with an extremely large amount of people, some of whom are extremely large, who have absolutely no sense of style. I joined SF to give myself a venue of interaction with people of differing, and hopefully better, opinions and tastes in style.  I'm quite willing to listen to everyone's opinions, and consider the opinions earnestly, because style and fashion are extremely subjective.  Ultimately, though, I have to make the decision of what clothing to buy and what clothing to put on every day.  I appreciate everyone's criticisms, both negative and positive.

The one thing I don't appreciate are the jerks.  I try very hard to be nice, even when I see a completely repulsive clothing ensemble and desire to spit and curse.  Can't we be civilized, people

CDHagg, you're not fooling anyone. I've seen you post before about how rude everyone here is and how polite you are, but you're not polite. Your verbosity is a form of condescension. The atmosphere isn't rude, just very casual. Everyone here is capable of writing the way you do, they just don't because they don't want to look like pompous assholes. There's social dynamics here and you can't just hammer your way in. You use a lot of words to say very little and when people give you advice you mostly find reasons why you can't consider it.

Also, your only support is coming from miran who is a certified troll and on most people's ignore lists.

my question for cdhagg is how the act of writing your posts (you as an authorial figure, if you will) acts to transform or alter your message? if we deconstruct the relationship between you and your technological medium... your mediator.. it seems as if there is a fundamental discursive disconnect.

ps: your boots are ugly.

that's cool, my writing work is probably slightly less rewarding over time (copywriter for adult films for a group with a large online presence)

CDHagg, just chill out and ignore the people who rile you up. (As soon as you are riled, more people will rile you.) I like the boots; ditch the tie and pick up a sportcoat.

I hope your teachers aren't letting you use that as a noun. :P

Are you copy-editing the PR material or the screenplay!?

CGHagg, let me give you some advice.

One of your problems is that you're standing like an idiot in all of your photos. Also, you think wearing a tie with a casual fit makes it more stylish. I can see this because I was guilty of the same things when I first started posting here. See if you can spot the difference:

This is rather cold, Stanley van Buren.
I know I don't belong in your world...but I always thought I'd offer some insights into your fits....I consider myself a Fashion Boddhisattva....someone who has reached their own fashion nirvana and dedicates themselves help others attain eternal bliss and realisation with his/her true self...the least I deserve is some modicum of acknowledgement, if not appreciation...I didn't realize you viewed me with such condescension, as a "raving nutcase".
Who am I kidding? Worlds must remain separate...it's foolishness worthy of Reedobandito to think you can cross such clear-cut lines. As my grandma used to say, "When you try fusion, all you get is confusion!"

Just a measly copywriter handling the (graphic) descriptions for all of the online media, as a side job though. My dayjob is acting.
