Cool, I like to hear stories like that about taking a chance on something. I have no experience with the nonnative shoes at all, I only mentioned them because they were the first thing that popped into my head when I was thinking of trainers that might work with what you were wearing. I know those Raf shoes in real life and they're too crispy and fashion-y (ugh, sorry for using that word) I think to wear with what you were doing.

This could also just me getting into a BRAND SYNERGY moment though so feel free to ignore me.

you know, i think miran/otter may be right on this one. i used to be SVB-level skinny and fitted trousers made me look like a toothpick.
what appear to be loose trousers in the photos are probably already pretty slim IRL

Agreed. Nice taper, and I like the cropped look. May not be appropriate for SVB's office environment, but the taper would be more than suitable.

did you taper those pants? I think I got the same ones (standard khakies in mid-green, SS11) but they seem much baggier on me...
