It's all about attitude. If you wear all Julius and you act like an arrogant depressed asshole then that's how you will be perceived. But if you wear all Julius and you are charming and fun and positive...then you wiill be perceived that way.

My favorite people in life haven't played by the rules. Fuck conforming.

even though you are right you can't deny that teger is right that some people are too shallow to see past that, and that it could damage your reputation, job, or whatever.

I do it whenever I happen to make a dumb face, which tends to be a lot. The good face pic is never the good fit pic lol

It probably comes down to context more than anything else. If you're at school, at a bar, wherever, then it really doesn't matter. If you're in a professional setting or at somebody's wedding, then play by the rules. Clothing is a huge social signifier. You actively choose what you want to portray to the outside world in choosing your outfits, but it's not the be-all for the impressions you make.

And just think about how much of an asshole you'd be if you showed up to someone's wedding wearing RO head to toe

Sig'd

it's funny that Kunk used that first, then later ARW did, and now Synthese did, and all 3 are in various people's quote boxes.

Just be yourself and don't let the others get you down. If I remember correctly, your previous fits were normal enough to not attract too much attention.

I'm glad this hasn't come back to bite you in the ass, but there are lots of stupid, shallow people who will think worse of you if you don't dress to rigidly conformist standards. And sometimes those people can impact your life.

And, as someone else posted, sometime it's just respectful to follow traditional patterns of dress. It's fucking rude to wear your drop crotch to a funeral.

social life > clothes

but what you wear isnt that out there/out of context...that eg can be worn all day everyday, same with the collared moto.
