Sort of, but if you compare some of the waywts of "today" to those of "yesterday" (especially like years ago), you'll notice a big increase in the buying power of the most active posters and, as a result, more interesting fits. There was way more mid-tier whodini-esque stuff back in the day and nowhere near the number of folks sporting upper tier brands. There's definitely been a huge drop in activity but you can't ignore that, when people do post a fit, the chances are far greater today that it will be edgier/pricier/whatever.

Edit: maybe "buying power" was the wrong phrase. I think "greater willingness to face poverty for cool threadz" is more accurate
