It is an amazing jacket. Here it looks nothing more than pedestrian. Making an epic piece fall to the wayside.

I sized down 1 full size from a 10 to a 9 because I felt like the 10's fit a little too big. The 9's were perfect, and the leather is a bit spongy so I knew that they would stretch a bit. My shoes are a matte finish, not shiny. I don't know if they're regular or smooth. ha. I wanna get the oxblood made in England pair, too. Also, great fit Zissou!

Totally disagree...although many here own it I rarely see it work in a fit...it works perfectly here.

Not sure I agree with that - High rise can look a bit old-manish. I like the cargos. MoK's jeans / slacks would look better in medium or maybe low rise, and a notch looser on the belt so they sit a bit more relaxed. Diff for formal clothes of course. If you're tall like he is, you have a bit more flexibility IMO.

I ordered their duffel coat at the beginning of the season sized down 1 and while quality was pretty awesome and it fit me great, even a little big as a duffel should, the sleeves were such massive tubes of fabric i didn't know what to do. Like they looked like bell sleeves. Tempted to get it tailored but passed in the end.

so after all these words, out of curiosity, how did you size that jacket?

Gutman, I didn't mean to recommend truly high rise pants; just a little higher rise than that particular pair. Even just an inch or so higher. I do agree that his height gives MoK flexibility in that area. It's the same flexibility that allows guys like superbobo and zissou to look good in looser cut pants.

they are awesome, but not very versatile...meaning i require more weekend-only spaceman wear to go with them. thinkin some silent and ann d pants. all my denim looks dumb with those shoes, though. any recommendations?

Really? I think they look good with denim. If you take it too far they're a costume piece.
