the vest actually rocks in the community of old punks.

I don't doubt it. I was at In-n-out the other night and saw this crazy punk couple. Dude was rocking a vest like this with oxblood doc martens while his tiny Asian girlfriend was also wearing some docs. I'm sure other punks loved it.

Not sure how well the PCM works, but the jacket has been keeping me toasty in mid 30s / low 40s with just a t-shirt on.

you need something more than a t shirt to keep you warm in low 40 weather?

i used to have sooo much JR stuff. i have one pair of calis for sale on sufu. got rid of the rest of it ages ago though. detroit cut maybe my favorite cut of jeans ever, and nikki sixx definitely my favorite wash ever

yes, wish i had some nikki sixx's... i imagine id wear them alot. wouldnt mind a pair of selvedge Cali's either... think the detroit would be too full for my liking though.

?? explain
I've never handled the PCM in person but maybe those who have can provide more insight.
More info on the material: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phase-change_material

The description they give of PCM says that anything is a PCM. Pretty much anything can exist as a gas, liquid and solid. Don't think that jumper is changing state particularly often either.

http://www.schoeller-textiles.com/en/technologies/schoeller-pcm.html is more useful here than the wikipedia link, but it is based on the same principle

PCM is made by Schoeller, a swiss company that develops and makes high-end technical fabrics and finishes. They make probably the best softshell materials around.
Its not like a fashion brand like Undercover devleoped the material themselves.

Alot of high-end outdoor clothing companies use various Schoeller materials, including PCM.
I do doubt it would work as well as advertised, but ive always been interested in advanced materials, mainly for use in outdoor/athletic apparel and sportswear, so i like seeing fashion brands try to incorporate those types of materials too.
