Yeah, I see it in every liquor store in beantown. They just started selling yuengling too and that makes me excited being from PA and all.

Deschutes is the answer

We've got Deschutes, New Belgium, and Dale's in Ohio. Practically a beer mecca (almost makes up for the whole state run liquor business). Bar I used to go to in college had a firkin of Hopslam yesterday

the black mesh under the rope-like knit is part of the sweater, like a lining. Interesting (but delicate) piece.

I so very badly want that beer to be better than it actually is because its name is so awesome.

FTFY (although I'll never understand why they call it that here).

Deschutes is always the answer. Black Butte may be my favorite porter that's not all crazy jazzed-up imperial-coffee-oatmeal-chocolate-whatever.

It's been around forever. It's the quintessential lager in the Philly area.

If I ordered the same thing in boston, I'd likely get a sam adams boston lager for the same reason.

I also love deschutes and rogue.

Knit is great! What is it? I can't figure out from the deets.

Duffle looks a lot nicer open than closed.

afl - so simple so good.

aux - that throat latch done up pic is cool as shit. i love a good nazgul look. i agree with lokesh that it looks better open.

----

in other news, MMM muffa zips arrived, and they fit great, and they look great. but man its like opening up a box and getting some homeless guys old shoes. not really used to that out of the box.

thanks again @thewho13 for pushing me over the edge on these, and errone else for all the boot help.

thx guys !

@in stitches: yes, uber cold weather has at least one advantage, you can dress as a Hokkaido ninja and get away with it

@Lokesh : knit is Isabel benenato

aux that knit looks really out of place with the rest of the colour palette and textures, IMO. it's linen or linen blend, right? i'd wear it without a shirt underneath or wear a much wider necked and thin t-shirt that isn't as long. there's nothing else in the outfit that balances out the tan(?) colour of the sweater...the black boots especially set off the palette in combo with the knit. without the knit it looks pretty cool

thx Breezy - The knit isn't really tan, I don't know hw to describe it but basically looks like ropes tightly knit together. I thought both color and texture complement the coat wood toggles and the light distressing of the coat fabric :o

u wrong

Honestly I can find very little redeeming about your fit. Jeans are bad, boots are questionable, knit is out of place, denim toggle coat is way way way out of place and not even in a "fuck brand synergy" type way that can sometimes look cool. Don't know what's going on with the tee. I dunno man, the colors and textures do not work together. It looks like you know what fits, but I think you need to step back and work on some basics and rethink colors and stuff. Sorry for being kinda mean.

Jeans have looked good in every fit until now. They just look bad when you can distinguish all the colors and differences.
I agree with the general sentiment of Spope's bitchfest above: it looks like you know how to size everything, but none of that stuff really goes together.

Those jeans call for a sleeker jacket up top, and heritage-y wool with toggles and patch pockets simply doesn't fit the bill. I don't know if I even like that layered sweater thing either. The knit outer layer looks short and blouse-y, which is made even more pronounced by the longer mesh layer. And is the mesh layer actually asymmetrical like that? or is it just bunched up on one side? Regardless, it's a strange and incoherent mish-mash of colors, textures, and form.
