I've had a relatively poor turnout with MMM shoes. I have one pair of boots that I dyed black (chronicled in a post somewhere or the other) from a reddish brown that had a natural stacked sole and actually felt and looked like it was made from good quality leather. I purchased those boots from Yoox. However, I also got last season's black boots, which had leather that felt like plastic. So it's been a crapshoot in my limited experience. Unless you want to make the jump up to something like Guidi or the like, I'd stick to something like the Buttero side zips on NMWA or Marsell, and the like.

Though those crepe sole Buttero lace up boots on NMWA look pretty darn good too

I've had good luck with MMM (3 pairs, quality [even the glued pair, which are admittedly ss10 (I think, maybe 09)] and leather is good, shape is excellent) but I don't think that's what stitchy is looking for.

Stitchy how about those buttero sidezips NMWA was carrying; seem like a good crossover.

so, MMM makes a lot of boots. is there one pair that ya'll refer too? i know its a shameful question, but i must learn.

did not see them, but i think i want straight up SWD boots, not crossover. otherwise i guess i would grab some trickers. also, the AS cambridge in pebble grain already are kind of a crossover. kind of.

I was emailing Guy from Viberg about organizing a guidi calf boot order thru SF. They have some on hand now.

How do you feel about tan stitches? I only have experience with Margiela and this is the best leather on any boot I have ever handled from them, plus in my opinion the shape is beautiful. It is probably hard to find right now (unless you are size 10) but..

Most people here are only referring to the side-zips that are released every season, but they put out a lot of different models. The ones regis posted (argentinian officer's boot or something?) are an example.
