You may already have this figured out, but the full oomph of the top half would really benefit from more contrast in the bottom half. And something other than beater sneakers. I'm sure the Ute pants are really great, but I think that a navy bottom leaves everything looking a bit flat. Or it's possible the colors are off a little bit in the photo. Either way, I think something like white jeans + black boots, or grey trousers + brown shoes or boots would look nice.
El bert posts some pretty good stuff, but he's got a bad habit of taking his photos in awful light. That's probably not a path you want to follow. tongue.gif

Can't really get more than a very limited impression of how the whole fit looks. I agree with reedo's comment: you could probably swap out the sneakers for something like lace-up boots to bring down that dork-factor (I'm thinking the heritage stuff would work well with what you wear).

If you do want to pull of a dork aesthetic, well, that's also possible. Check out fishbones for really well-executed dorkmusician style. Old mellow fellow fits might be worthwhile to look at too. They're like the more grown-up, fiscally conservative dad version of fishbones. If that's what you want to do of course.

thx Who. Yes I like the simplicity of its design. I didn't buy it on B&S. Actually im looking to trade it for a larger size. Mine is size V but I'd like a VI or VII, arms feel very tight. Would be ok I guess if I was used to tight/slim fitting clothes, but I like looseness better. But trades don't come by easily...

Nah we see overpriced stuff all the time.

Dunno, all the people talking shit about VISVIM probably haven't handled many of their things in person. Not everything is amazing, but a lot of it is. Is it worth retail? Not necessarily, but there's not a lot of stuff we talk about here that is.

Best quote is from le rageur @fuuma

-visvim
good designers would take a traditional fabric and uniform and get inspired by it to create something new and not evidently linked to their inspiration, they'd pepper parts of their various inspirations on various pieces of the collection. the visvim guy sees something he likes and makes a repro, then turns around and sells it for 2k to suckers (love seeing white boys wearing that japanese denim thing, looks as funny as a bad asian character tattoo). he's not even a bad designer, he's not a designer at all.

Not really a fit, just a mishmash of various pieces for a party. MamaDB9 was not very impressed

I promise I'll wear different pants next time, but the boots are probably going to stay the same. They have ruined all my other footwear for me.

Good call on the tee, Regis.

I like everything in that fit except the boots melonade. Is that the new non-collab version of that leather you picked up?

I wish I could find those claudine necks in navy, cream, or camel. I'm going to re-visit that fit with a gray suit
