wat? I wear leathers all the time in Seattle.

Maybe I just need to plan things better. I used to live in Edmonton and it never rained so it wasn't something I had to take into consideration. Here, it seems like every time I wear a leather it starts to rain and then I look like an idiot taking off my jacket and trying to shield it from the weather.

Do they really get that ruined in rain?

I would say this is a good climate for leathers because you can wear them year round, rarely too hot or cold. Maybe keep a small umbrella handy if it is going to dump rain that day. We typically get drizzle more than real rain.

If you wear specialized rain gear all the time, then you look like you are going camping every day. FuckThat.

I have worn my calf DR in both a snowstorm and now an ongoing storm/hurricane and the jacket looks just as fine as when I got it, if not even better. YMMV if your jacket is lamb, though.

Looks good. What's the big leaf then? Zucco?
Snowman, you should cover the base/exposed root areas of your vine (the main tree part) over the winter if it snows/ices a lot. This will protect it and it will grow lusher in the spring in the vines/branches, if the main tree isn't frost damaged and doens't need to spend much energy repairing itself. You can use a burlap cloth which is best....the brown sacs that rice comes in. In the olden days, the farmer and his wife had one last bout of insane funny business on the burlaps before the snow came while drunk with what the tree produced this year (called a Bacchia, not to be confused with Bacchanalia which was worse), and then wrapped the vine roots with the burlap...apparently this would please Bacchos to make the tree grow more fertile next year.
Your fit, by the way, is beyond my realm of understanding...and seems to have taken a life of it's own...but at least you are not as bad as the Horror Show meets Smallpox meets "This is what chemical weapons do to you" meets Awfulness that is Shahahshah's "fit".

probably. i dont know whats growing where most of the time. weve got a garden but as you can see, veggies are planted wherever there is dirt :fu:

I live near Seattle and wear my leathers all the time here without issue too. I have never been accidentally stuck in a downpour while wearing mine, but my leathers have soaked up plenty of drizzle. It's never caused any discoloration or funny smells.

And yeah, you can nearly wear your leathers year round here. But most people wear synthetic material coats that look like they came from REI. From a non-native's perspective I'd suppose many do look like they're going camping every day.

What's with people posting all the narrowly focused detail shots at weird angles? Are you trying to be artistic or are you trying to hide something? I cannot even tell what the overall fit looks like.

re: snowmans + NYR head swapping.

goes to show that one's face is important in the choice of your aesthetic, me thinks.
