pretend?

no

I simply do not unbutton my jacket, it works very well actually and Im leaning towards no more shirts just some light scarfs and knits. I like the whole concept of it. I would walk around with just a jacket on if I could. This is as close as I can get. Ive been looking for a jacket that closes high actually to pull this off. Some examples include these:

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 85

I have a romantic idea of wearing this kind of stuff walking around my private caribbean island with a Cuban cigar. One day biggrin.gif

Well not Princeton, that's for sure ;)

It's pretty cool, though the spray paint still kind of stings.

What do you like about wearing just a jacket as opposed to just a shirt? Do you have them cleaned every time you wear them? Seems like you'd need to, which would mean you'd really go through jackets quickly.

I started this idea with my viscose knits which kept me cooler and in my eyes looked more aesthetic than any shirt I could buy. The scarf concept gives me even more breathing room, I admittedly do not like to wear too much clothing maybe 4 pieces max. I've been around heat all my life so I am used it and I have found shaving my underarms and using a good deodorant I (Malin + Goetz/Aesop/Mens Science) eliminates any odors as long as I'm not wearing the jacket all day long. I don't do this particular combo of scarf and jacket if I know I will need to take off the jacket for obvious reasons. Either way though I am not spending $ to look at my clothes and I'm not saving them for my kids or anything so I wear the shit out of them. I rotate through my clothing so there are pieces I wear a lot others twice a month etc so everything holds up just fine, I expect these pieces to last me years. If my Margiela jacket fell apart so quick I would not be such a big fan.

Regis looks good, particularly if you consider the environment he operates in. As I've stated before, I think the fits would improve with a bit more wear/breaking in of the clothes themselves. Somehow, the look book fits come off a bit more disheveled, or nonchalant (a la Fuma), even though they're new , I would assume.

Fuuma was probably in the game when I was in grade school haha. I agree it looks better well worn and it does lend a very nice disheveled look to the clothes as you put it, eventually I hope to reach that level even though I will take care of them

Edit: Kind of misunderstood your post. Yeah I can achieve a more sleazy look (pretty much just like the pics) with a different jacket thats opened and non hemmed trousers. Hard to see in my fits since I spilt up the images

We both need to take better photos. Sorry mine have been sucking lately. Jacket is linen/ramie blend, very nice texture, but yeah... not in the pic.
