Let me put this a nice way... thumbs are more about community than the quality of your fit. I've always thought that and I still do... not saying there is no correlation between fit quality and thumbs but there are a lot more factors that are more important than quality of fit. The groupthink here is sometimes very strong and rather disturbing... a lot like a group of teenage girls. But it is interesting. I bet a lot of shrinks read this forum for study and/or entertainment.

while i would embrace the 3 figger thumbs, you realize that im not as serious as you seem to think right? i think i have a pretty solid grasp of the community here and how it works.

@koy - good insight, and probably a more practical way of doing things. but all yohji must be ALL yohji.

also, im not about to run to the interenets and kop a full yohji fit off a google images pic just because. the pic i pit up there was an idea of a yohji look that appeals to me, and its definitely something id like to do, and has been mentioned a number of times. when the times comes, ill select the proper pieces, and a fit will be produced.

Consider it a compliment.

I believe he said he was having some health issues? His back maybe, something about a cane.

Hope he is well wherever he is.

Not a flattering angle. Place your camera higher.

The japanese Rakuten has lots of Yohji in size 4 (wild guess). A quick search turned up:

(1)

(2)

(3)

Of course there's lots more. It might help to plug in "ジャケット"-- which i think is japanese for "jacket?" someone else can tell you what the japanese word is for trousers.

good luck.

I'm willing to travel to Kent to investigate.

Someone make a kickstarter.

@b!cd

Man, its really hard for me to tell how those would look on a person based off the flat stock pics.

I do like that middle jacket though.

What would a US 42/EU 52-54 translate to in Yohji language?

I'm thinking 5? Since 3 is usually a 48. But if you can't find any 5s, some of the 4s might work 'cause of the oversized proportions. granted, my yohji knowledge is some of the worst on this forum

im a 38ish and I'm pretty much a solid 3. i think you might be a 5. yohji is kinda hard to size tho. you can't go by shoulder measurements cuz its meant to be oversized. sleeve length and inseam is a better measure of how they want it to fit

seriously tho what bcd said. a 4 might work for you too
