Greasypirate I like it. Would change the black shoes out for something lighter colored and with a more rounded profile. White sneakers, tan boots or maybe some of those printed vans slip ons.

Fwiw I don't think hirsch is trolling.. Wld go easy.

Please, I am NOT trolling,

I'm terminally ill with passions for nice clothes (although I spend a lot of time alone in bed, planning the next shirt, jeans, biker or boots

I'm in a wheelchair from osteoporosis in my spine and hips - we all love clothes, I'm a jeansaholic, so what's the problem?
Even bought my mum a pair!!!

Girl, yes, wearing miniature versions of men's clothing, yes, but troll NO

GIVE ME A BREAK!

I love SF and pass my sleepless nights on it...I can't get out (hardly ever) so my jeans and clothes hobbies (retail therapy???) keep me going.

Have a heart - I'm not a troll

Sorry for the long, off subject post, but it had to be said...smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif

no comment on noob fits

tee looks out of place in bert's fit, not sure why you insist on incorporating a garbage brand in every fit ie rogan

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

(1) put your photo on your desktop

(2) create an imgur account: http://imgur.com/

(3) log in to imgur then choose "autoresize" in the upper right corner. The menu below will show up. Select "800 x 600 (15 inch monitor)." This will shrink the size of your photo so it doesnt appear too big when posted.

(4) drag the photo off your desktop and move it over the imgur page ... it should start uploading. or you can select "computer" then find the pic to upload.

(5) After it uploads, click the photo and this menu below should pop up. Copy the "BBCode (message boards & forums)" link, shown in the upper right of the image below. Paste it into the reply field of the SF post you are creating. Add a comment if you want, then post SF reply

(6) lmk if you need further help

1. militarism. this category could be interpreted in a wide variety of ways, since so much of men's fashion has been adapted from military wear. reference the ww1 colonel with the shiny boots, the pilot with the oversized ma-1, or the guerrilla fighting the techno-fascist forces of evil in the year 2099. this last possibility could also be used for category #2:

2. thriving post-apocalypse. this category might seem to favor those with "darker" garments in their closet, but i think that with some creativity even the stodgiest cm-er could excel. perhaps you're the mayor of a broken city of survivors. how will you style your glen plaid suit with that fur coat you just found in the abandoned mansion? and will it successfully conceal your shotgun? i wouldn't want this to shade too far into cos-play, but i think it could be fun to see what ideas/references people come up with (and remember, emphasis on thriving post-apocalypse).

3. garments with history. incorporate a (some) garment(s) that has a notable history. this can either be because it is unusually old-- whether it was passed down from your grandfather or discovered at a thrift store-- or because it has (and you would be willing to share) some personal story behind it. that is to say, the history can be just in the garment or in your particular relationship to the garment (or both). i imagine that some entries would incorporate the best features of posts from the contentedness thread.

thoughts?

#2 :slayer:  And here's today, it's already dark out here so crappy indoor pic. It was nice out today!

Thanks a gazillion for the tipoff

Sadly, I gave my desktop to my Mum - not enough strength to sit up for long enough to make use of it :-( just have an iPad that I can use in bed..

I'll try to find another method:)

could look good with maybe wool trousers in grey or charcoal, the coat buttoned, and losing the bag.

oh yeah also fix those cuffs and hem the jeans.

Thanks a lot for your advices dolt. You're the only one who gave me a feedback.

Well, there is nothing shiny in my outfit even my jeans are not really shiny at all in real life. I assume that my camera did not capture the colour very well. Additionally, there is nothing new in my outfit either. I've been wearing them for a few years. Unfortunately, all of them have not been broken in. I completely agree with you at this point. Mismatching thing, this is the hardest point to accomplish. I really don't know what to start with, honestly. I can't avoid wearing the jacket, the jeans & the oxford so what should I wear underneath the jacket?

Wool trousers? I will check out. Losing the bag, no way. That's my essential for everyday work. Can you suggest what bag I should carry with these outfit then? I need a durable bag,

Hemming the jeans will be considered accordingly too. Thanks again for your opinion. I will lurk around for a while again...

2 things:

that horrendous neon orange thing should be burned immediately.

your boots' shade of brown does not work with the blacks you are wearing because they are "cold" blacks. wear different boots.
