Can't really imagine thinking that would be an intelligent/useful thing to say.

Some of us never imagined a world without subject pronouns, but here we are.

The guy just said that he's a skinny blonde, for christssakes. I'm Jewish and did not find that offensive.

Some things don't need to be said. For what it's worth, just because you are such and such minority does not make you the authority on what is and is not offensive or unnecessarily crude. I can't say I'm offended or hurt or anything, but it was a pretty awkward way to just say "hey, i'm very skinny and my hair is blonde."

it was offensive. in the list of things that are never funny, flippant holocaust death camps + nazi one liners are pretty near the top for me.

When I was 20, I had no problem making a light-hearted joke ("I'm going to hell for this") with the holocaust as a reference or subject. I was 20 and dumb. Nowadays I don't touch that topic at all because it is really one of the few things that really isn't a laughing matter. Human suffering sucks.

Haven't heard a holocaust joke in years. I think that subject is closed. With that said, what the hell did i miss?

Look, I'm not saying I am authority and if I did not find that joke or whatever offensive, then no one should find it offensive. I said that to me, personally, the joke was  not offensive, notwithstanding that I'm this and this. I understand where you're coming from and to me it's clear why to certain individuals this subject may be a tabu. My philosophy is that you can laugh at almost any subject, especially at your own self, and at the same time have respect towards all the nations, religions, etc.; rather than wear a politically correct mask but be a fucking asshole deep inside.

That's the stupidest dichotomy I've ever seen- you either laugh at everything, even offensive things, or you're a politically correct asshole?

No. I did not say that and you're now putting words in my mouth. Or perhaps I did not express myself very clearly. What I meant is that between a politically incorrect nice person and a politically correct asshole the former is a better person.

If you are Jewish there is a good chance that you had a great uncle or five that perished in the death camps. I can't really think of a funny spin to put on that.
