Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

IB/MA+/Silent/KKA/Guidi

Vicuña coat arrived. Fabric is unlike anything I've handled before––rough, stiff, but with an almost waxy feel. Lining is some extremely soft and spongy wool-based thing. Coat should wear in really well.

Also it's really strange to switch from wearing shit like shorts/leggings and giant parachute parkas and super baggy jeans to something more conventional, silhouette-wise. I've come to feel comfortable in the space nomad look to the extent that wearing a knee-length black wool coat that billows in the wind makes me feel a lot more self conscious than some objectively weirder stuff.

I don't love this silhouette on you, and think the pants could use some work. These seem looser in the leg/higher rise than your norm, which would be fine except the jacket is somewhat cropped. I'd get the pants tapered, or wear them higher.

Spope, the coat looks good on you. Aux, great fit, love the shirt and jacket. Stitchy, nice suit. Art, cool shot.

Seems like this thread is back on track.

you are by far in the minority here. pretty much everyone that saw this (MC, IRL people, and some ebros via emai) thinks this silhouette is far better on me than any other. i think it looks good, but i prefer a more tapered/aggressive silhouette personally. but there is room for both in a wardrobe.

spope - amazing. so jelly of your vicuña.

ZOMG I AM WILL TO LEAVE WORK NOW AND GO STRAIGHT AWAY TO MY TAILOR AND MAKE HER DO IT WHILE I WAIT!!!!

true story time!!!!

yesterday i dropped off 3 pairs of pants at the tailor. instructions:

pants 1 - lengthen hem by .5 inch and keep cuff as is.

pants 2 - take out waist and seat .75 inch.

pants 3 - take in seat + waist 1 inch, hem to 28 inch inseam with 1.75 inch cuff, leave extra fabric just in case.

they just love me over there!

Yeah I have to agree, I like this silhouette better. I do see what Teger is saying about the pants looking like they might be sitting a bit low, but I'd need to see a jacket-open shot to know for sure. I still think I wouldn't tell you to change anything though.

You probably don't want to hear this, the same way that you don't want to hear that your RL shoes suit you better than any of your G&G, but I really do think this silhouette is more flattering on you than the tapered/aggressive look.

Stitches, I think you look good in both styles, but in this you look much more "stately" which is probably why the certain groups you mention above would prefer it, and people here might not.
