No one should really give a fuck but I'll give my rare opinion on this:

I would rather wear Banana Republic/Armani Exchange and devote a lot of time on my body then Maison Martin Margiela and be overweight. My motivations stem from not only being a beach bum but truthfully I see it as I am cheating myself if I don't at least see how my body looks in the best shape I can reach naturally ie eating well and having a regimen. Also don't want Papa DB9's beer gut nod[1].gif

You don't have to be in shape or anywhere close to look good in clothing, but when those clothes come off (my opinion/preference) I still want to be aesthetic

It's not an extreme example, it's a false dichotomy.

This is indeed a very interesting sequence you've outlined for your life. Pray tell, how will the current mmm you've acquired fit post weight gain?

To be fair, any universe in which you can afford to wear MMM, both of his options are possible choices. You can choose to wear BR/AE and be overweight, BR/AE and be in shape, MMM and be in shape, MMM and be overweight. He only outlined the two most opposing options to make his point.

I am no bodybuilder, nor do I want to get huge just do my best in a natural way. I will always have certain expectations of myself. I can and continue to maintain weight through those said expectations. Thats about it, don't want to derail thread so I'll end it at that

Damnit I got got

Wasn't there a collection where all of the clothes were several sizes over-sized? Someone with a better memory, and a better gif and jpeg collection can probably confirm or disconfirm.

As recently as this season they have plenty of pieces meant to be oversized
