In short time, minutes even, the film will start, I will taste it, the brain will dance, I am borne across the fields of Combray and running. Alone with Gilberte, warm sun at our necks. It is 2013. It is 1988. Alone at last. Are you really going to wear those pants? Noob. Rickman. McTiernan. Swann. Father can I go, is it rated R. (At such moments Gilberte’s plaits used to brush my cheek). Swann, née Méséglise. Gennaro, née McClane. What kind of father would I be. But maybe just this once. Come out to the coast, LeGrandin. We'll get together, have a few laughs. You cannot turn down a Guermantes. Can you please move your feet, sir? Sir, you can't bring that in here, sir. But what is time. And what is memory. The child is father of de Man. Sir. Hey, sir. 80,000 seconds in a day (Francoise's stewing rabbit again) and I have to kill one with feet smaller than my sister. Father. Sister. Swann and Méséglise. Diastole and systole. Albertine, the black of my heart. Days I will brandish like a weapon. For what is time without memory, days without heart. I can weather these Verdurins; I negotiate million dollar deals for breakfast. Sir, is that Vinteuil's phrase, tinkling like glass. Do place names the names or do names place the face. Tell your mother we saw something else. Aim at the glass. Destroy his feet. Now I know what a TV dinner feels like -- you Americans are all alike. A row of maples, trembling. Branches waving like arms: her hand in mine. Pass the rabbit, father. Happy trails, Hans. Welcome to the party, Gilberte. No one kills him but me.

I must have missed 60 Minutes.

Nope, teger
teger-- are you sure you're not in denial about needing to size up on that cardigan? even the sleeves look short, and i'm not sure how the camera angle would affect that. (also, you know enough to realize that the top and bottom of that fit are totally incongruent.)

yes. it weighs about 4 lbs, so it'll stretch at least an inch in length. it also measures 26", which is a perfect length. heavy wool needs to break in.

as long as we don't see another heartbreaking post like this:

hope you don't get hit with duties frown.gif

The direct order one still hasn't been made yet (but I'm pretty much resigned to duties)... I did buy thewho's though in the meantime.
sad. he shouldn't have sold it. they have a lot of stretch in them due to the weight. it's like armor though - blows SNS out of the water.
i am going to forecast and say it is too small for you cyc
I think my size 40 will be too (I'm a usual 38), but will not look short like teg's as mine is a long 6A. At the very least I can bum around at home with a warm Aran knit
post #104775 of 117677
you guys are terrible at knits. im sure if your'e a 38 a 40 will fit fine. you just need to wear it for more than 5 mins to give the wool a chance to fit to your body. knits break in just like jeans.
