5,000 posts a day, everyone has horrible pants, a fair number of posters seems to sexually fetishize their aldens, and there's this weird dynamic where they call each other 'uncle' and 'nephew', as if liking a very common brand of shoes begets some familial relationship.

Can't wait

in time this may happen, and it will be awesome.

in any case, i appreciate all the tee talk. has been very edifying.

Is that Alden thing like Crips saying cuz? A sign of association?

no, the real reason is much stupider. it's a sign of respect (ugh) because mcarthur owns so many aldens.

interesting. i had never seen that, but i do know some of the people featured in/that produced, the vid. was not expecting that.

odd juxtaposition, but so far, i like this from WvG:

http://www.wolfvsgoat.com/collections/tees/products/olive-green-long-sleeve-v-neck-t-shirt

and this from RRL, in authentic heather:

the wvg tee will be nicer but the fabric is stretchier and thinner. the best rrl tees are the tube constructed ones (no side seams), they're also the slimmest fitting. club monaco makes great tees for the $ too.

Thanks!!

Maybe I was not thorough enough, but that link was the only tee I saw on the RRL site. Can you link me to what you are talking about?

I'd also suggest checking out Everlane tees. i think someone said theyre made in the same factory as James Perse, but costs a third of the price. I have several and they're still nice and soft after countless washes.

As far as I know, it's just "navy," but my knowledge is limited.

synth - looks exactly like mine, I believe that is indeed called the triple blue mix.

Uncle is a term of endearment... Mac is an internet legend. Gotta show respect

There are tons of posts on the Alden thread, but it is the single best source of Alden information on the internet. Styleforum should be proud of it.

As far as bad pants, maybe, but there are some great pants and pants/shoe/sock combos as well. The poster Don L is killing it lately.

The Alden uncle nephew thing is the worst of all of Styleforum. All I see is molesters and 12 year-olds.
