might as well cross post this here...

I've been stocking up on cold weather gear.

Jacket is ts(s) which I'm insanely impressed by. I was actually sweating a little bit when walking to the bus station in ~50º weather. It's also got a lot of details (throat latch, corduroy sleeves) that I really dig, and the fabric is gorgeous.

(Pants are actually a dark gray wool glen plaid, I'm not sure why they always show up so drastically different in photos -- the lighting might be throwing things off.)

Vita, that fit is awesome (despite congruency issues). Was that the TS(S) floating around B&S a while back, the padded one? Fabric looked so nice, now I wish I had bought it up

fuck, this is actually why I was hesitant to post initially shog[1].gif I only have six long pairs of socks, and they're all dirty which i found out about five minutes before my bus came. my ankles were freezing this morning. fuck. (I'd also appreciate suggestions for long, ideally wool socks that aren't exorbitantly priced -- my current ones are all cotton ones from uniqlo but I doubt they'd keep me very warm in snow. Would uniqlo's heattech socks be good? Thanks!!)

@reedo: Thanks man. Nah this wasn't actually on B&S but I do recall seeing one there a long time ago. It's not padded, that would have been dope actually haha. And if you wish you'd bought it, remember we're the same size wink.gif

I had a great time playing STP roulette last winter, hunting for the thickest socks I could find. it's probably a new set of products (I bought out my favorites anyway) so I can't give you any specific recs. there's not a good designation for thicker-than-midweight socks but you can make some sense of it from the pictures, descriptions, and reviews (and returns are pretty doable last I checked.)

these

I did a lot of trial and error over the past couple years, and these were by far my favorite as an every day wear. caveat, these are mid calf length rather than the over-the-calf length it seems you're looking for...have a few pair of nordstrom's version of this as well, but don't recognize them as any of the offerings on the website. prob be easiest to hit a nordstrom and see what works

ehhhhhh idk man the scarf comes off as too much of an affectation. and the multiple poses didn't help to dispel that notion.
