I'm low key kinda drunk and I was wondeing, Do any of you ever feel wierd about posting pics for other guys to critique and give thumbs up to/critique?
I mean in a nuttshell that is basically what this thread is, receiving gratification from online individuals that you have not met in real life before.
I am typing this after a night out wearing rick high tops/tee with gellar jeans and having various old white wealthy women look at me like i was a bum.

no, not really. I suppose the concept is strange, but clothes are something we all enjoy and there's nothing wrong with showing them to others to show off or further advance your application. I do understand where you're coming from, though. when I get drunk or high I have plenty of similar thoughts. I do keep my clothing relevant to my life and not too ridiculous rather than... you know, stepping out in pod shorts and ro dunks. if that's what you like then hey, go for it, but old ladys are gonna judge. I suppose it helps, personally, to find a healthy medium between what's socially accepted and aesthetically pleasing and something interesting.

Seems fine until you get to the bottom. The shoes are really busy and kinda clash with the rest of it, and welted shoes (or ankle boots or chukkas) of some sort would probably work better. The pants also break a little awkwardly, at least on the right leg. It could be that they're a little long or the hem is a little wide for that length. Looks fine on the left leg, though, so it could just be the way you're standing.

I think this would look more balanced with a tiny bit of shirt cuff visible below the cuffs of the sweater, but that's a pretty small detail.

SVB i think a lot of your shoe choices would be better if you bought at retail frown.gif you always seem to have the odd colors because I have a feeling you're buying at 70% off, ie: brown CP mids, the bright red MMM boots, those MMM boots..

I feel better about doing it online than in real life, I don't think I would feel so good about twirling around in front of a room full of dus and listening to them say "nice mangina," "your body is shaped like a turnip," "did you steal that jacket off a hobo?" or (worse) colabear-type comments.

Well, yes and no. Admittedly all were acquired at discount, but I had specifically wanted those brown CPs all season; I just have a harder time incorporating black with everything else I wear. Those red MMM boots were a B&S find and I ended up putting them back on B&S but that was more about the overall shape/fit than the color. With the grey ones I have now, yeah those were a yoox sale item as well, but again I like the color for how they go with light denim, white denim, and other S/S stuff.

Anyway, today's fit is definitely more on the experimental side. If I had some black chelsea boots, I would have worn those, but I don't. Any other footwear ideas would certainly be considered.

I would say focus on buying some staples shoes, ie: black and white lowtop sneakers, and some good brown/black boots. Then branch out.

I can't really think of a fit of yours with the brown CP mids that would've look better with white lows.

I also think that the sweater color feels off with those pants, maybe you could add some contrast like dark gray or black jeans, I think that would make the sweater really stand...

I actually broke up with MsDB9 over a pair of Margiela boots once, I mean scream at each other throwing doors type stuff. She eventually liked it and I got her into Margiela heels/pumps etc which are now really for me to enjoy when she wears them. My family was a bit put off by my interest in clothes since in my culture this is something women do. Eventually they got it too, best example is my dad walking around like me in full Margiela albeit the Mr.Porter Margiela

As far as posting pics for dudes, I was once caught browsing this site and no offense to my man Brad but it was right on one of his fits haha so I had to explain that it was a forum to share my interest in clothing. The fact that only dudes post is a plus for me since my lady wont hassle about me posting pictures for girls. My style is on the safer side compared to others here but I get plenty of compliments on my wears and have never felt uncomfortable wearing them out. No one cares that my knit is $800 all they say is "nice color" and "that looks nice, where can I buy it". I never cared for 'thumbs' just like this place for what it is - somewhere I can share this hobby/interest of mine with others
