You can replace "luxe" with "boxfresh" Basically, IMO, boxfresh white sneakers "pop" a lot as is, and when placed against something like dark denim, and especially when the hem is really small, they pop even more. But they're plain looking. So the aesthetics sneakers have this weird tug of war between "LOOK AT ME" and "I AM SO UNDERSTATED" With a cuff or heavy fading of the jeans when the sneakers are beat up or when the hemline isn't so tiny it's different. I think this looks funny:

Compared to jeans without a small hem and CP's that aren't so bright looking

But you are welcome to prove me wrong.

dude just look at sufu, black or raw skinny jeans + white sneaks is classic, some people don't like it but it's pretty much standard. please don't use BB1's sad rhetorical attempts at rationalizing his weird prejudices and neuroses

I agree with andrew, black jeans + white shoes has always been a common style. I think it looks fine, but yah its nothing special I think that's obvious nonetheless.

dude you went from "tan/white low sneaks + small hem dark jeans = bad" to "boxfresh **** + small hem = bad". doesn't matter much, it is I think kind of an opinion thing but at least be consistent with what you're trying to say. also I'd be willing to bet the opening on aeglus' jeans is pretty much the same (within .5 inch, i'd wager aeglus' are 7.5 or 7 and the other guys are maybe a half smaller but probably the same) as that other guys you posted. Aeglus' hem is just longer so it stacks and looks more voluminous but the opening is probably pretty close. are you trying to say low tops need stacks? dunno.

lol. ive been wearing gats for like.. years now. so have a lot of people on sf. the only ones that are hyped are the ugly ass MMM ones.

I guess my issue is the clean break between the jeans and the sneakers draws attention to the light shoe/dark jean contrast that i find aesthetically displeasing. Things that decrease the contrast (fading, stacking, cuffing, wider hems on the jeans, dirtier sneakers) make it look better, at least to me, while things that increase the contrast (darker jeans, clean break, small hems, brighter white on the sneakers) make it look worse (again, at least to me)
