Is it because of the cut of the shirt?
Input would be appreciated!

I do still own some Ervell, lmaozedong; but the pieces I own can't really be worn during these hot months ahead.
I've grown to like Lad Musician's feel and fit on clothing as well.
Assuming the sleeves are cropped, I think it's the combination of the scoop neck and cropped sleeves that makes it seem feminine. Everything else looks good though.

It's the neckline of the shirt, the cut of the pants (sort of look like capris), and your build all put together.

Bingo!

Dunno, seems a bit too feminine.

Yeah ..

I agree. I like you better in Ervell, fish. :/

Yup

it's because your build is waifish

People should not forget to always dress to your body type and less so according to whatever image a label is portraying
It's good to experiment IMO just to try it out, but it should end there if the aesthetic is not suited to you despite whatever philosophical connection you may have to the designer/

edit:
My input is that u-necks are overplayed and you need a strong upper chest to wear it well, or the complete opposite. I'll take a loose crew neck over u-neck any day. More so, most u-necks are cut oddly and are just really deep v's with a softer cut. To add on, a u-neck looks best layered for the frail body type, or in other words, you need more volume, which can be natural or created through the impression of your clothes.

I understand what you guys mean though, my body type is pretty frail.
All the cheeseburgers and Popeyes don't help unless I work out, but laziness has always been on me.

Pushups. Curls. Crunches. Doo it. Then you can eat even more cheeseburgers and chickins.

And, this is just my .02, but an SF-approved jugend or Jimmy Darmody hair cut plus smaller glasses would make you look meaner, and thus, better.

I don't think I quite understand this line.
Do you mean that it works for strong and relatively soft?

And with how I dress to my body type, I've always enjoyed a cropped aesthetic on myself; almost all of my trousers are as such.
I think it works fairly well with my short and frail build; which I've learned is just something I have naturally.
And I definitely plan on layering when it comes to these long U-Necks I have at the moment as they are fairly big on me.
I'll see how it turns out once a size smaller comes in, as it will be more of a shallow U-Neck and will be a bit more fitting than loose.

Even though I also like Ervell, his stuff in general was a tad too big for me; even in the smallest size.
When it comes to the button-downs, they're too long for my torso; and in general the arm length was always an issue.

@nahneun: You can't tell from the fit photograph, but my clavicles are VERY prominent. I'll hopefully be able to take a better quality photo of that fit sometime soon.

This is probably a more clear indication of how the shirts fit on me. (Just imagine this with 3/4th sleeves and in the dark green/black in my previous fit)
Although you still can't see my clavicles in this photo, my apologies nahneun hahah.

It does not have to be fitted

Don't turn into a 'redo'

FWIW I cannot even wear slim fit pants anymore, and it is OKAY. I stand with the former comment and only mentioned the 'opposite' because Drew Keith wore it well and he is a skinny guy. But understand that his u-necks have always been cut well, the neckline, from what I can tell. None of this WIDE NECK nonsense, which the Western sphere cannot seem to comprehend. 'U' neck not a 270 degree letter 'D'

edit:
U necks should only be worn with women with cleavage. Please give me a crew neck, TIA

I think it looks pretty rad fishbones, better than ervell ever did on you. Are you just proxying those tees from the Lad webshop?

I like the bottom half and I can appreciate the sentiment that tee's don't have to be super fitted, but it just looks TOO baggy. Like a 12 year old kid trying on his dad's undershirt or something, your arms only fill up like half of the sleeve.
