Stacks are often inappropriate except in strictly casual fits

Stacking is still a premium/designer denim only phenomenon, once you start seeing JC Penny's house brand offering 28x38 skinny jeans, then it might be over. Fads aren't a bad thing, they are an opportunity for people who don't take themselves hardcore seriously to have some fun. If I wanted to be able to look back on myself in 20 years and not have any regrets/fads I'd have to white-wash my style into slim-straight pants, brogues, and OCBD's with simple blazers or sweaters when it is cold. Sorry, I'd rather enjoy dressing up NOW instead of worrying about how I'll look 20 years in the future.
Actually, the Black Eyed Peas wear a ton of balla designer **** (whether they wear it well is debatable, but the kop is strong with them). And I think the short jeans are for hipsters into the cropped fad Fads are an integral part of fashion. Designers tend to cater to/form fads and if you wear designer items then you will also be part of a fad. Not necessarily a bad thing unless the fad is a bad one (baggy ass jeans of the 90s), it just is a characteristic of an era/generation. Fads generally swing from one extreme to the next, which is why the followers of the succeeding trend generally view the former fad as ridiculous /rant

Speaking of fads, them hi-tops are way more guilty than any "stacks".

just checked out the green ones. they are cool but the color isn't super versatile. are the navy/blue ones you are talking about the ones jet has? if so, those are pretty sick too. but of all three of those kelvins are the best. they manage to use silver without being as flashy as the dior silver high tops. the velcro piece around the ankle is so sick. the black leather portions shooting forward is also really unique without being as over the top as the new rick owen trainers

Raf has done that leather fin sticking out over the vamp thing a few times lately, reminds me a bit of these boots. http://i.ebayimg.com/24/!Bl1he-!BGk~...bQ+NQ~~_12.JPG But yeah definitely with you on the silver being reasonably understated. Am a fan. Couldn't see myself wearing them though, which is probably why I like the blue astros. I was mulling some but am torn between 3 sneaks which would become my only sneaks, or if I should just hold off altogether. I think the Rafs might be too much for me. http://i.ebayimg.com/12/!BpoZBH!!mk~...HsHWw~~_12.JPG http://i.ebayimg.com/07/!BW75H,gBWk~...hdDPD!~~_3.JPG http://ilovefreshmusic.files.wordpre...op-sneaker.jpg Cue Drew to say they're not backbone items... though the MMMs probably are. This is also a should I / shouldn't I post but I have been mulling too many things lately and that thread is sick of me.
