Every attempt to "put your spin" on jeans has ended up mocked by contemporaries. It doesn't even have to wait for your to have kids to tell you how lame it is. Stacks are fine, sq4you's are not. There's a difference between wearing jeans a bit too long because hemming is a bother and cuts your clothes, and wearing jeans way too long for the same reason. One looks reasonable, the other doesn't.
