College Food

I'm looking for ideas for something that tastes good, costs little, and can be made with nothing more than a coffee maker, pocket knife, plastic fork, a plastic container. Microwaves work too if they're a necessity.

A quick example is tuna salad made from stuff that I had laying around/could be found for free in the condiments section of the commons
-3 packs of tuna in sunflower seed oil
-1/3-1/2 of an avocado
-Relish to taste
-Garlic powder
-Onion powder
-2-4 tbsp Blue cheese dressing (or not, but it needs something to keep it moist)
-Any other seasonings laying around to taste

It tastes great, is fairly healthy, and is cheap.

Anything else like this? I mean anything.

I'd say eggs but it sounds like you have not even a pan. Basically any fish out of a can or pouch tastes infinitely better when you add sriracha - read why's "guide to buying canned sardines"

I love the Trader Joe's organic boxed soups...cheap, filling, microwaveable and good for you...can't think of anything much better for you than tomato soup that is so easy to prepare. Also, a good standby is a toasted "grilled" cheese, PB&J etc....I eat all of this stuff weekly.

Grilled cheese. Sandwich cheese between two slices of bread and toast using a hot, dry iron (Without the steam) Gently slide the iron over the bread. I was told to use wax paper to protect the iron but my iron was still new. Try it some microwavable tomato soup

Can you get a hotplate or something? George Foreman grill? Anything? I know a lot of dorms look down on them, but give me a fuckin break---- What RA doesn't know can't hurt him.
Anyway, a single burner hotplate and one pan would literally increase your possibilities by about 1000.

You can microwave eggs. Just crack into a bowl and stab the yolk with a fork once or twice (it won't burst). I'm not sure I remember the reason for poking the yolk... Not delicious, but good cheap protein with no added fat. It pretty much tastes like a hard-boiled egg after 1 minute, or soft-boiled at 45 seconds. Put one of those in a ham sandwich and it's an instant breakfast sandwich.

You poke the yolk so the egg wont explode.
