If so, why?

I never eat breakfast, so I wouldn't know.

Very late breakfast/lunch is... If it's too early, it tends to undermine my energy level for some reason and makes me feel tired/unmotivated

If you only eat breakfast, then yeah, I'd say so.

In the British army, it's the only meal that it is compulsory to eat!

Supposedly when you are asleep your body's metabolism slows down. You need breakfast to jump start your metabolism. People think that skipping breakfast will lead to losing weight, but if your body's metabolism is slowed down from a night of not eating, then you won't really be burning the fat so well anyway. Don't know if this is true or not.

It is. Which is why people are told to eat breakfast immediately after fasted cardio. Breakfast is an important meal, maybe the most important, but honestly every meal is important and shouldn't be skipped.

As a general rule, any thread Jon. posts in is awful. His H&B posts just up the ante.

If criticizing keeps them apprehensive about regurgitating the same nonsense in the future, it's a much easier method of informing people than continually gathering the chorus to sing 'Dude, it doesn't matter' to drown out the Jons every time a meal timing-related thread gets posted.

I also have breakfast between 5-5:30 every morning, but I also usually eat an apple or pear around 9 a.m.

I never ate breakfast (just a cappuccino in the morning) until last year. Developed ulcers and the GI doc insisted I eat breakfast, even if it was only a small one.
