I'd go with neither. I got the 5200 model, with the tall jar, for $380 @ Costco. They're actually selling the same model, but with the shorter jar, for $380 now but its always available as opposed to only on the road shows. Similar deals can be had online. I see no real benefit to the higher end models unless you're either: A)A pro who's going to be blending all day every day, or B)A shake/juice fanatic who makes them multiple times a day. The regular model is MORE than powerful enough for general blending.
