Would the 3Sixteen slim tapered fit similar to a N&F WG? I'm a 34 waist in chinos etc, got a pair of WG in a 36 around 36lbs ago and now they're too big. Did a hot wash/dry to slim them down for the time being, but they'll stretch too big within a few weeks.

Hey wiseguy... If the thighs fit, your hips surely would too. Unless you are misformed.

Ummm...no, not really. A 28 from Naked and Famous in the Elephant2 denim fit very well from the thighs down BUT the hip area was way too tight. I wasn't sure if they would stretch enough so I sized up.

And how do you come up with, " if your thighs fit, it'll fit you hips"??   and If someone had a huge ass it wouldn't fit, specially with a 28" hip measurement. My hip measures 32inches and I have about 17.5 inch thighs with a 29 waist/30 where I wear my pants...I'm skinny as hell and Looking for a skinny/real slim fit.

Next time don't say anything unless you have something helpful to say...k? thanks!

STFU. Provided measurements obtained trough BiG/BO methods should be enough to determine the right size. You either sized wrong, chosen a cut that doesn't suit your build/bodytype or you just are an idiot incapable of measuring jeans or reading sizecharts. Not one of the big players in denimwonderland state hip measurements (SE, BiG, Context, BO) for the sole reason that you don't need them.

If this is a problem, fine... Stop whining and visit a shop, so you can actually try them on.

I may be able to get the "right" size but not the fit. And if I could try them on why would I be asking for measurements???  All I said to you was don't say shit unless you have something helpful. So how about you just STFU??

It's obvious that I can look at measurements and determine whether they will fit or not. I'm looking for something that's slimmer in the top block.

Just couldn't say no to that deep indigo. I really love that overdyed blue look, probably moreso than standard indigo denims. Otherwise, totally in the same boat as you -

Makes sense does it, getting the right size but not the right fit. The cut obviously isn't made for you.

Sunny Sports: Madras!

Our first shipment from Sunny Sports spring 2012 collection has arrived and by far our favorite of their collection was the Madras checker fabrics. The colors are terrific and the fabrics super soft to the touch and will be so comfortable. The fabric has gone through a washing process giving it a wrinkled texture and that pre-worn look. The shirt is great for summer and great to throw in the travel bag for the warm weather get aways.

Sunny Sports Madras Check in Red
* MOP buttons
* 100% cotton
* Red or Navy
* Made in USA

Naked & Famous Fall 2012 Collection Denim Preview: Big Slub & Red Core

Looks like Red Core has already seen a bit of attention recently, but here are a few more details about the Red Core and also the Big Slub...both part of the Fall 2012 collection. Red Core is a Barney's exclusive right now, but others will carry it in a few months from now.

A few weeks ago we viewed the Naked & Famous fall 2012 collection. The entire collection is terrific as always and we will give a more thorough review soon, but we wanted to introduce 2 denims that really got our attention: Big Slub (above) and Red Core Denims.

The "Big Slub" denim was introduced in February 2008 as part of the Naked & Famous spring 2008 collection, which was also Naked & Famous' first season as a brand. It was offered in Slim Guy only and has was never made again, until now. Over the years, there have been numerous requests to remake the "Big Slub" denim and finally in fall 2012 the "Big Slub" returns and this time it will be available in both Weird Guy and Slim Guy. The fabric features an 18oz heavyweight selvedge with a tremendous amount of slub yarns which is the identical fabric used on the original release.

Above shows a brand new "Big Slub" Slim Guy featured with a well worn "Big Slub" Slim Guy that has been worn for about 1 year and washed at least 5 time. This denim will retail around $215 and expect it to land in stores in July. We will stock both Slim Guy and Weird Guy fits.

The other denim that really caught our eye was the Weird Guy "Red Core" Selvedge denim. This denim will be available in Weird Guy fit only. Above is a brand new Weird Guy "Red Core" denim with a well worn Weird Guy "Red Core" which has seen 5 months of wear and no washes.

The Weird Guy "Red Core" uses a 14oz selvedge made with red weft yarns overdyed in indigo which creates an indigo jean that will fade to red.

This denim will retail about $215 and we will stock in the Weird Guy fit. We anticipate delivery in very early fall, maybe as early as May.

This denim is why I love Naked & Famous. Their creativity and inventive nature sometimes creates pure art work.

Wolf v Goat: Spring 2012 Button Downs

A modern slim fit button down is essential in every wardrobe and one of our favorites comes from a label we are proud to bring back into stock: Wolf vs Goat. WvG is the brainchild of our friend Mauro Farinelli and based in our nations capital, Washington DC. WvG excels in finding fabrics with the most incredible colors and patterns as well as being extremely comfortable. Because of their simplicity, two of our favorite items from the WvG spring 2012 collection are the following button downs.

Wolf v Goat "Before Dinner" Long Sleeve Button Down in Cobalt Blue
* The WvG "before dinner" shirt runs slim in the shoulder and arms, slim through the body and tapers towards the waist line to allow to wear tucked in or worn out.
* MOP (mother of pearl) buttons
* 100% cotton
* Made in USA
