Today we're bringing you the second of Japan Blue's new denim: The 16.5oz Monster selvedge! This heavy-weight, slubby denim has great character, and even greater details. The leather patch on the back is made by none other than Tanner Goods in Portland, Oregon. An important difference to note between these two denim is that the skinny fit is unsanforized, while the tapered is sanforized. The skinny was made primarily for the Asian market, where more traditional fabrics are favored. While we would have preferred the tapered fit follow suit, Japan Blue decided that markets abroad would rather have sanforized fabrics. The irregular weave of the denim can still be seen in the weft of the tapered, but the surface is not as bumpy and fuzzy. Of course, both of the fabrics are still amazing heavy-weight denim that would be perfect for the coming season!
Hi Jay, Does Japan Blue Denim plan to release the same jeans, but in "tight straight" style, sanforized? Something like 0701?
