I'm really excited for the Momotaro collaboration deep indigo jacket you announced in July. Are yall still shooting for a mid-November release? I want to jump on it as soon as you put it up for sale but I am a little uneasy about the sizing. It's a lot of money to drop without being able to try it on first frown.gif

Do you have someone wearing around the prototype so that you can show how it has faded by the time you release it?

Couple of questions:

I've been thinking about the BOM006 - I love the fit of the 0702/0701. Any suggestions on which one would be more similar? My guess is the tapered? I wear a 32W for the 0702, should I stick with that for the BOM006?

Also, any recommendations on which fit and waist size for Naked & Famous chinos? Is the quality better then the Unbranded chinos (they're made by the same company, right?)

Unbranded is a sub-brand of Naked & Famous. It could be considered lower quality. Slim Guy is the closest they have to the 0702 fit, but it is still a bit more tapered. The BOM006 Tapered fit is quite a bit smaller in the knee and leg opening than the 0702 at that waist size. The ER007 is the same fabric as the BOM006, with the fit of the 0702, if you'd prefer to stick with that fit.

The prototype hanging up in the showroom right now. We did a blog post a while back about the fading properties of the fabric. Still aiming for mid Nov release, if you'd like to check measurements you can look at the other Momotaro denim jacket we have. The collab is being made off the same cut, so should have similar measurements.

Momotaro is coming at us again with another amazing fabric. Their West Point chino fabric is lightweight and feels amazing to the touch, very smooth and consistent across the whole piece. With the new chino Momotaro is also introducing a new fit, the simple "Tapered". This fit is relaxed in the thighs, and then tapers down to a reasonably slim knee opening. From the knee it tapers a bit more down to the leg opening. As we've come to expect with Momotaro, the construction and details are absolutely world-class.

Momotaro"Tapered" West Point Selvedge Chino - Model 0302SP. 100% cotton. Sizes 28-34, 36. Made in Japan. $265. For more information on the Momotaro West Point Chino, click here.

Sheep skin leather patch with Momotaro's traditional design, including model number and size.

Hidden selvedge peaks out from behind the coin pocket. Other hidden details, such as back pocket rivets are what separates Momotaro from the rest.

1013124

Custom made buttons with a new peaches and laurel design.

Selvedge is an amazing silver color that compliments the chino perfectly.

Im so happy about the tapered fit. Anything else planned in that fit? Or a relaxed straight fit?

Its a work in progress for them. We currently don't know about any plans for specific denim, but we're also quite happy about how the fit turned out. Hopefully something will come in the near future.

Love that west point chino but the battle stripes are a bit too much of a contrast for me

I've been looking at the Japan Heritage 2, are there any pics of how they fade?

The Japan Heritage 2 is the unsanforized version of the Japan Heritage. So there should be quite a few pictures out there

I've owned a pair, and it's IMO one of the best fabrics N&F used.

But I'm smitten by the 702BR's.

Three days later and I broke down.  Ordered a pair from Jay and used my BOW points to lessen the damage.  But I am really excited. I think these will be a really nice variation from how my regular 702s are fading.  The fabric seems just amazing.  But truly, why does anyone need six pairs of raw denim?  I feel kind of foolish (but happy).

Huge shout out to Jay.  I was going to go with a 31 based on the web measurements but asked for Jay's input and he gave me some specific measurements of the pairs he had in stock.  I ended up going with a 32.  I'm pretty sure the 31s I was going to go with would have been too "skinny" in the thigh and knee for my liking.  Great customer service.

:slayer: Congrats, post a fit pic when you get em in! They do seem quite a bit different than the standard 702 look... I'm jealous.
