Blue Owl Workshop - official affiliate thread - Page 141

I see a couple of you might have noticed, but here is the official announcement!

The BOM006 has just gone live on our web store! Be sure to check the exact measurements before purchasing, as the denims do not perfectly line up to their size-counterparts. Our 6th collaboration uses Momotaro's incredible Grand Indigo fabric with a deep blue, pure indigo warp and sulphur dyed weft. The Grand Indigo fabric is known for its ridiculous electric blue fading. The "Stealth Warrior" features small strips of leather sewn into the right back pocket, outlining Momotaro's iconic battle stripes. As the denim is worn the battle stripes will fade into the pocket.

As always with Momotaro, its the details that make the denim exceptional. The kangaroo leather patch is the first of its kind. All of the pockets are lined with hickory stripe chambray.

The entire denim makes use of antique copper hardware. Hidden selvedge on the coin pocket is barely visible on the sides. Of course, the folklore-inspired pink inseam tops off the whole piece.

Momotaro x Blue Owl "Stealth Warrior" Tapered 14.7oz Raw Selvedge - Model BOM006-T. Sizes 28-34, 36. 100% cotton. Made in Japan. $295. For more information on the Momotaro BOM006-T, click here.

Momotaro x Blue Owl "Stealth Warrior" Skinny Straight 14.7oz Raw Selvedge - Model BOM006-S. Sizes 28-34, 36. 100% cotton. Made in Japan. $295. For more information on the Momotaro BOM006-S, click here.

^ Thanks Jay. I ordered a 33... I hope it works out, but sadly it looks like the thigh is smaller on these than the BOM005. Safe to assume these will stretch out a little in the thigh?

EDIT: Never mind sent you an email Jay.

You guys get the slim or tapered?

Thinking about getting the tapered, rise on the slim looks high.

I bought the BOM006-T. Since I live in Seattle, I'm already wearing them :).

Here are a couple quick fit pics I took using my phone.

I'll take better pictures later tonight.

This is a size 32. Not hemmed. For reference, I wear a 31 in Weird Guy Grey Selvedge, and those are pretty tight on me.

The denim is really soft and not slubby at all.

Looks good. Looking at the measurements, would have guess that the 31 would have worked for you since you are an 31 in NF WG.

Spoke to Jay, and it looks like most smaller sizes are sold out.

Putting on the 31s when I first got them was a huge challenge. I might have been able to squeeze into the 31 BOM006 if I really really tried, but I'm really a 32 and I sized down on the NF. They were a lighter weight denim too, so easier to button.

Good to know. Assuming Jay still has the 30 or 31 in stock, this likely made my decision to nix the 30 and opt for the 31. Hope he still has it.....

I was thinking about the tapered but after seeing the measurements I am considering the skinny straight. They came out more skinny/tapered than the JP 406 so I am really liking the measurements. Tough call...
