Introducing another new label to Blue Owl: United Dry Goods Stock


Founded by Michael Cavaggioni and Sydney Mamane, former bespoke tailor and current owner of Sydney's boutique in Toronto, United Stock Dry Goods aims to deliver timeless quality garments at an accessible price. Combining simplicity with classic tailoring and design, the brand reflects the owners' minimalistic and modern take on the contemporary male. Having been founded in 2012, the label has only three seasons of products under their belt, yet they've already started to make a name for themselves in the fashion world thanks to quality construction and impeccable design

United Stock Dry Good: Denim


Our first batch of United Stock Dry Goods denim has arrived! The jeans come in a 12.5oz Indigo, 9oz Double Black and 13oz Double Indigo variety, all of which are Japanese selvedge denim and sewn in the USA. All United denims feature a 5 pocket design and the expect features like chainstithced hems, button flys, and leather patches. Available in two fits: the Narrow (a slim fit with a touch of room in the thighs and throughout the legs), and Slight (an even slimmer fit that is tight in thigh and throughout the legs with a narrow leg opening). They are sewn in Los Angeles and the construction level is one of the best we have seen from a USA factory. When factoring the quality of construction combined with the fabric and details used for the price point, these denims are hard to beat! Below are details of each of the 6 core United denims that we will stock this season.

United Stock Dry Goods "Slight Fit" 14oz Indigo/Indigo Selvedge
* The indigo/indigo selvedge uses a warp yarn (outside) and an weft yarn (interior) which are both dyed to a deep indigo color. The result is a consistently dark indigo color that looks almost violet and will fade to a unique electric blue with a lot of variation. The surface of the fabric is very smooth and the weight is good for year round wear.
* The "Slight" fit is slim in the thigh with medium rise and tapers the mid-thigh to the leg opening
* Made with 14oz sanforized Japanese selvedge with light blue and white accent
* Dyed indigo leather patch
* 5 pocket, button fly closure
* 100% cotton
* Indigo
* Made in USA

Jay, I currently have the Japan Blue "tight straight" in a 31 (fit is great).

 

I am looking for a more tapered model.  However, the "tapered vintage" model is described as more tapered, but the measurements on the 31 are nearly identical.  In fact, the "tight straight" appears more slim and both have a 7.5 leg opening...

 

what would you recommend?  basically want the "tight straight" fit but maybe a little more taper at the leg opening.

Hey Jay, do you know if those United black selvedge jeans use the same fabric as the APC noir jeans? They look awfully similar, esp with the selvedge.
