Blue Owl Workshop - official affiliate thread - Page 101

Just wanted to add another comment about Jay's amazing customer service. I originally ordered a pair from Blue Owl that I felt was too small. Jay was extremely responsive via e-mail in determining whether I'd be better off in a larger size and, when I decided I wanted to exchange, was quick to ship the new pair. The whole thing was a really pleasant experience, and I'm sure I'll be using Blue Owl again as a result.

Just curious -- what are the advantages to getting a heavy weight denim? I don't have any idea.

Try the "I have a jean" thread

Is there a particular Blue Owl denim you are interested in?

No, I'm just referencing the unbranded heavyweight...I'm curious about what it will do with time. Or if it's just a sturdier feeling jean.

Thanks, but it doesn't talk about the 21 oz. Or is that in the prior pages?

Heavier weight denim is more durable and allows for very high contrast fades.

He's directing you to consult the entire thread, not just the hyperlinked pages.

One thing I would like to say to people getting the 21oz/elephants is if you force the buttons on, don't come crying about broken buttons or burst seams. This comes from experience and seeing people complain on their ele2s.

You wear them unbuttoned at home for the first week or so to soften them up whilst stretching the button holes in order to have everything fit and nothing burst.

Introducing the Naked & Famous "Regular Shirt": Spring Summer 2013 New Release

The Naked & Famous original button down fit is called the "Slim Shirt" which is slim in the arms and through the body with darts along the back back to add a little more of tapered fit in the body. The "Regular Shirt" fit is nearly identical to the "Slim Shirt" fit, the main difference is the Regular Shirt will not have the darts in the back and thus more relaxed. Other differences include arm holes being a touch wider, and so is the cuff. Sleeve length is also increased, and only 1 button cuff closure. For those who like the Slim Shirt fit, you will also love the Regular Fit. Jay, are you going to be getting this shirt?

Hi Jay, I love the SlimGuy fit, I see some of the WeirdGuys have already been released, but do you guys know when the Spring/Summer2013 SlimGuys will be out?

I actually find that they are phasing out the slim guys slowly. The weird guys are the most popular followed by the skinny guy.

I like both the slim and skinny.

Man I decided not to order the 21oz unbranded when they were first available only to learn that the next time they are available is July..

why the long wait?

Whay part of pre-ordering did you not understand? The reason we are pre-ordering is to guarantee a pair from this production.

We will have UB221 in stock and in store in 2 weeks. The stock still looks good on it. UB321 is sold out of only 28 and 38. UB121 is nearly sold out, so if you were eager for this fit just go with the UB221 or wait for next production. Second production is probably more like May. And as for production times, it is not like any factory really wants to sew 21oz denims. It is not easy and takes a long time with additioanl labor, so if that factory can do anything else that they can make more money and produce faster, the heavyweights will probably get bumped.
