My well fitting jeans measure 10.75" for the thigh (which is actually pretty tight).

It is such a shame, they are freaking nice jeans.

Next time you decide to order online. Measure a reference pair (a pair that fits you well and has the same fit).

You can't size down on parts of a jean. All measurements make a fit to what of is. Sizing down on one region will make all other parts smaller too. Some of these regions are not easy to stretch, like thighs for instance.

Cheers for the suggestions guys.

Jay, do you know when you will be getting size 31 in the 0201's?

Do you guys think that the JP 0202s are the same measurements as the 0201s, but with different denim? I tried on a 30 and it was just a bit too small.

Naked & Famous Spring 2013 - Suvin ELS Weird Guy, Natural Indigo Organic Weird Guy

Just arrived is our first shipment from the Naked & Famous Spring 2013 line-up. Today we introduced two of our favorites in the collection, the Weird Guy Suvin ELS Cotton and the Weird Guy Natural Indigo Organic. Both of these denims are limited productions.

Naked & Famous "Weird Guy" Suvin ELS Cotton 13oz Selvedge Denim
* Suvin is an Indian cotton with an extra long staple (ELS) and is considered the finest cotton being produced in India today. "Suvin" variety cotton was first released in 1979 by cross breeding Sujatha (Indian cotton) with St. Vincent (Sea-Island cotton). This special breed is very difficult to grow, and this type of ELS cotton is primarily used in expensive linens and luxury fabrics, not in denim, until now! What makes Suvin special is its extra long fiber that is extremely strong and durable yet very soft.
* It is a 13oz weight offered only in the Weird Guy model, a one-time only limited production of about 1000 pairs. The fabric has an irregular weave, similar to the low tension weave denim from the fall 2012 collection.
* The "Weird Guy" fit is slim with medium rise and tapers to the leg opening
* Made with 13oz sanforized Japanese white selvedge with red accents
* Hidden coin pocket selvedge
* Thick buffalo patch
* 5 pocket, button fly closure
* 100% cotton
* Indigo
* Made in Canada

Naked & Famous "Weird Guy" Natural Indigo Organic 13oz Selvedge Denim
* Made using both organic cotton and organic natural dye. When using "real" natural indigo, the fabric is very streaky and the color of the warp yarns will not match. When rope dying using a natural indigo, even multiple dips will not get a consistent color, thus every denim will have slight variations in color and each denim will be different. The color is amazing! It is a beautiful light indigo and a weight of only 13oz making it the perfect denim going into spring. This is also a very limited one time production of only around 300 pairs.
* The "Weird Guy" fit is slim with medium rise and tapers to the leg opening
* Made with 13oz sanforized Japanese white selvedge with red accents
* Hidden coin pocket selvedge
* Cowhide leather patch
* 5 pocket, button fly closure
* 100% cotton
* Indigo
* Made in Canada

What fabric is the JB0202? Sorry, I don't stock it and I am not sure off the top of my head.

If numbering of models is consistent. It should be the same fabric as of the 0702. But it isn't. Wasn't the 02xx the replacement of the Skinny Straight (01xx)?

Are there any current promotions or discount codes for Blue Owl? Perhaps a first time customer code? I'm looking to pick up some new denim.

More details cane be seen on our latest blog post: http://blueowlworkshop.blogspot.com/2012/10/momotaro-going-to-battle-157oz-denim_24.html

After 12 pages I came across this jacket and fanfare began playing in my head. For anyone who bought/read Fuck Yeah Menswear their heritage page has this denim jacket under a barbour jacket I believe and its easily one of the best images in the book. Gotta get this jacket.

Considering Jay hemmed these for me, I doubt he will be interested in taking them back. It would cost me $40 to mail it back to him, plus whatever he charges to hem and send a 30 out :(.

I guess my message is: don't buy into the whole bulshit of "sizing down" in jeans. If Jay says on his website "size 30", and that is the size you wear for everything, buy that size.

Which pair did you buy?

I bought the Japan Blue 0201, size 28, which has been hemmed to a 30.5" inseam.

Perfect, for a very small man or a skinny woman.

At this stage, I am tossing up between the size 31 and 32. So you can see how well the size 28 fit.
