This denim and all 3sixteen denims are a great price for a USA made denim and if the fit works for you there will be no disappointment.
Silk does not stretch, but cotton does. It has to do with the weave using 100% cotton on warp. Expect 1" of stretch on the BOM004.

How is the fabric and construction different in USA compared to Japan? Sorry for my ignorance.

Japanese are more meticulous.

Introducing Momotaro x Blue Owl BOM005

By popular demand, the "Midnight Warrior" is coming back, but this time in a different fit - Tapered! BOM005 goes into production very soon and scheduled for release in February 2013. This series will be limited to 60 pairs available in sizes 28-36.

The "Midnight Warrior" was the original design used on the first denim in the Blue Owl x Momotaro collaboration series. The denim uses a super dark indigo with black stitching and details that makes the denim look black, yet will fade to a beautiful indigo full of variations. The fabric is the identical denim used in the Momotaro Vintage Series which is rope dyed in pure indigo to a super dark shade of blue. We used black stitching throughout and a black deer skin patch to give a clean look making the denim look black, at least until the fabric starts to fade. Finally with a tribute to the Going to Battle series and what has become one of the recognizable symbols of the Momotaro label we added the battle stripes, but in black. Thus we are proud to re-introduce the "Midnight Warrior" denim.

This time the fabric will be sanforized in the Rampuya original 15.7oz raw selvedge. This denim is made of super dense 6s Zimbabwe cotton yarn that has a hairy surface and vintage texture. The denim also features Momotaro's traditional pink selvedge line and purple inseam color.

More details cane be seen on our latest blog post: http://blueowlworkshop.blogspot.com/2012/11/momotaro-x-blue-owl-midnight-warrior.html

Is this fit going to be similar to the skinny straight in the BOM001?

You can see the measurements for the current tapered fit models.

Look at the measurements of the BOM004. I expect the measurements to be nearly identical for BOM005.

Is that the same indigo as the 0702s?

No. 701.

I allready have a 0701. Since it only differs in fit, I'd probably won't get it. Want a collab that features the same colour as the Grand Indigo.

Would a tapered fit with the fabric of the G007-2B and battle stripes just be too awesome?

Jay, or anyone else with the Momotaro Thermal Hooded Parka Model ST231, is it really that slim and fitted? My chest is a 40, but I am not looking for anything too skin tight. Would the Medium work or think I should size up to the L?
