Corter Leather: The "Bottle Opener" Key Hook

Restocks are here! Eric Heins, the designer and one-man-show who is Corter Leather, came up with a creative little masterpiece. It is a key hook which fits easily around a belt loop on your denim and it works as a functional bottle opener. It is forged from cast steel in a metal shop in California and comes with solid copper o-rings from Montana and a leather tab that is hand cut by Eric in his Boston workshop. The forged cast steel is solid metal that will be durable and made to last. And just like denim or leather, these metals will age and patina the longer you use them.

Corter Leather "Bottle Opener" Key Hook in Aged Pewter

* Plated steel for addtional strength
* Hooks onto belt loops, bags, inside pockets, and easy to carry.
* Leather tab is hand cut and stamped in house.
* One size, approximately 3" tall and 1.65" wide
* Made in the USA

Corter Leather: Standard Belts

Restocks are in on all 3 of Corter's standard belt styles: Natural, Latigo, and Black. The design is simple, and well made. The leather is thick, heavy, durable and will withstand time and abuse as well as age and patina the more you wear it.

Corter Leather 14oz Latigo Leather "Standard" Belt in Burgundy
* 100% Latigo cowhide leather. Latigo is like the waxed cotton of leathers, in that it is impregnated with oils and waxes to make it nice and durable and even slightly waterproof. The leather has a smooth glossy finish from the wax and oils, yet the grain shows through and will continue to age and patina with wear.
* Oil dyed and waxed at tannery with raw edges.
* Brass-plated roller buckle and two Chicago screws
* 1-1/2" wide, 1/4" thick
* Made in the USA

Corter Leather 14oz English Bridle Leather "Standard" Belt in Black
* 100% English bridle leather cowhide

* Nickel-plated roller buckle and two Chicago screws
* 1-1/2" wide, 1/4" thick

 First time poster so please correct any mistakes I might be making, but I have a question.  I'm looking to buy these asap as my first raw denim (fell in love with a pair of RRL's that I bought about half a year ago)  and I was wondering about size and fit.  I'm about in between a 33 and 34 waist, and often hear with raw denim you should size down because of stretch.

- Would you reccomend me sizing down to 32, or stay with a 33?

Also how skinny are these, I definitely want straight, but I'm looking for a skin tight pair.

Thanks for any help! and I can't wait to hit the buy button!

If you follow the link, there will be a chart that provides measurements (when measured flat).  Measure your RRLs and compare the measurements; take into account your RRLs may have stretched a bit from constant wear as they are your favorite jeans.

The following image shows where what is what:  http://store.julianred.com/client/julianred/sizes_measure_jeans2c.jpg

A = waist

B = Rise

C = Thigh

D = Inseam

E = Leg opening

This image shows how to measure your seat and knee: http://501xx.info/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/sizing1.jpg

Seat = D

Knee = E

With that said, BlueOwl measures their thigh an inch south of where the fabric connects (I can't remember what it's called).  As for the knee, I believe you would measure 14 inches down the inseam.  I hope this helps.

Yes - rather than just going with blanket advice like "size down (however) many" - measure yourself. Measure your jeans. Compare to the provided measurements. Ask Jay's advice if needs be. Purchase.

Spoiler - thigh measurement is crucial to denim enjoyment. Get that one right.

First of all, I have those  jeans, and they are my favorites.

But if you're looking for a skin tight pair, I think they have another model that is more skinny...

 I meant to say not skin tight!  Whoops, I guess this pair sounds perfect then.  Thanks for the response,  I went a head and purchased them.

Corter Leather: The "Bottle Opener" Key Hook - - Niew color, Red Powdercoat

We have a new color....Red Powdercoat. The Corter "Bottle Opener" key hooks have been extremely popular and we are excited to have a third color option. The red powdercoat is a forged cast steel dipped in red powdercoat paint. This is the same type of paint that was used on home appliance back in the day. Over time, the red paint will start to chip away and have an antique aged look, just like an antique 1930's Frigidaire refrigerator. Now the Corter "Bottle Opener" key hook is available in red powdercoat, copper, and aged pewter.

Naked & Famous Fall/Winter Denims: 12oz Indigo/Indigo Selvedge - Restocked!

We just received a large restock of the Naked & Famous 12oz indigo/indigo fabric which was recently released for the fall/winter 2012 collection. This denim has been very popular and we were not able to get all sizes. Hopefully a few more will become available, but as right now we may not be restock them again, so grab your size while they are still around. The 12oz indigo/indigo selvedge uses a warp yarn (outside) and an weft yarn (interior) which are both dyed to a deep indigo color and has a very smooth clean surface. The result is a consistently dark indigo color that looks almost violet and will fade to a unique electric blue with a lot of variation. Available in limited sizing in both Skinny Guy and Weird Guy.
