A new shipment of restock denim has just arrived from Kojima and we received restocks of 3 denim series from the Momotaro line. Back in stock in all sizes 28-36 are the 0701 "Tight Straight" Vintage Label denim, 0705sp "Tight Straight" Going to Battle denim, and 0201 "Slim Straight" Vintage Label denim.

- Momotaro's "tight straight" denim fit is slim in the top block, has a low rise, runs slim in the leg, and tapers slightly torwards the leg opening.
- "Going to Battle" stripes are a symbol of Japanese tradition representing honor and strength. The warrior stripes also represent the flag carried by "Momotaro" in the original folklore story.

Great thx. Those are going to need a hem for me. How much might the inseam shrink, if at all.?

It is sanforized. really don't shrink enough to matter if you wash properly.

Momotaro Denim Restocks - Grand Indigo ER007-2B & Deep Indigo 0702


More restocks from Momotaro are here! In our recent shipment, we have received full restocks of both the Momotaro Deep Indigo 0702 (left) and the Grand Indigo (right) which fills us on all sizes 28-36. Comparing these two denims side x side you can really see how different the color truly is. Essentially they are the same denim. They are using a similar fabric with the same fit and many of the same details, difference is the color. Both feature the sulphur dyed weft, but the warp yarns use a different type of natural indigo dye giving the Grand Indigo a deep sea blue color and the Deep Indigo a dark midnight blue color.

Baldwin Denim: Now at Blue Owl


Baldwin has been my radar for a very long time. They started in early 2010 and have come a long way in a short time and as of this fall collection we will be stocking and supporting the line. The fits are solid, the construction very good for USA made, the fabrics and details look good, and I feel they are a solid denim for the price point. They are priced correctly at the $200 range for what you get. I like the direction they are taking the label and I am happy to support them from this point forward. Some of the identifying features of Baldwin denim include the single exposed back pocket rivet, a triple stitched reinforced yoke, chain stitching throughout, hidden selvedge details, and a 4oz Missouri steerhide leather patch. Our first shipment just arrived and includes their standard indigo denim in "The Reed" and "The Henley" fits.

Baldwin Denim "The Reed" 12.5oz Kaihara Selvedge Denim in Indigo
* The "Reed" is Badwin's classic slim straight leg fit that is tailored in the right places and will work for basically anyone. It has a medium to low rise, slim in the thigh, has a slight taper yet remains pretty straight from the knee to the leg opening. It is a classic fit that has a great silhouette.

I love my 0701s, but they are very tight in the thighs. According to the measurements on the Blue Owl site are the "Midnight Warriors" and the 0702s actually a "tighter" cut in the thighs? 

The "Midnight" collab is the skinniest cut that Momotaro has ever offered, so yes, they will most likely be tighter. The 702 is cut from the same pattern as the 701 while just being different denim, so it should be about the same, +/- a little bit.

Japan Blue: "New Skinny Straight" Coming Soon!


The Japan Blue "Skinny Straight" fit is about to get a make over! Once Japan Blue released the tapered fit just a few months ago, they made the decision to make some adjustments on the skinny straight which will take place with the next production runs. These changes will include lowering the front rise slightly and adding a bit more taper through the legs giving a slimmer silhouette. They will finally be producing size 28 which I know many people will be excited to see available. The "New Skinny Straight" will be released in October with new model numbers being the JB0201 and 0200sp. We look forward to the new models being in store soon!

Thus the "Skinny Straight" JB0101 and 0100sp have been discontinued. As of today, both have been put on sale at 10% off! Take advantage of the discounted price while your size is available. These models will not be restocked again!

Naked & Famous x Blue Owl Collab: Weird Guy Red Chino

Did you miss the first run? Don't sleep on this one! We were lucky enough to get a few more pairs.


This special collaboration between Naked & Famous and Blue Owl uses a custom made cranberry red Japanese selvedge chino fabric. The fabric is extremely soft to the touch, good weight for year round wear, and a beautiful vibrant red color. The first production was 100 total pairs, but luckily there was a little extra fabric which was enough to make 20 more pairs. As of today, we have every size available 28-36, but grab your size before it sells out! We do apologize in advance, not all of the new production pairs will have the customs patch.

3sixteen: Denim Restocks


The 3sixteen fall/winter 2012 denim productions are being released this month. Today we received the indigo series: SL-100x and ST-100x. In about 3-4 weeks we expect the "solid black" series and the "shadow denim" series to be released as well. Be patient, they will be here soon and we will stock both styles in slim straight and slim tapered fits. As for the indigo series, we are now fully stocked on all sizes 28-36 in both fits. We also updated our measurements based on the current production run.

jay the new N&F chinos look great. from the measurements it's seem they're fitting a size bigger than most weird guys usually are. would you size down 1?

Go with your normal Weird Guy tag size.
