I guess I neglected to check the shoe. If I had noticed when picking them up, I definitely would have called it to their attention. I only noticed when putting them on the next day (first wear after picking them up).

I checked and it's definitely not due to the shoe trees. The crease isn't where the trees sit, but rather where the leather meets that rigid heel support area, whatever it's called.
Thanks all for the advice and replies. I've complained to Brooks and they want me to take the shoes in to have a look. I'll definitely be going to Beehive in the future.
