hair product that will separate hair and leave a slightly wet look

Im looking for a product like this. Right now I use american crew fibre and apply it to my hair when its damp. I press pretty hard so that it leaves the hair firm but still pliable.

Anyway I want something that leaves it looking a bit wet as fibre leaves it very matte and dry looking. I want something that will separate the hair like gel does and leave it firm but pliable. I dont want it to be hard, crusty, or glossy like gel though. I have short hair, like a long crew cut.

I know that american crew has other products like molding clay and grooming cream that are supposed to have more shine. Any ideas? Thanks.

Trial and error. Read the labels. They normally say if it has shine or not. Typically pomade adds some shine without being hard. So just try a bunch of different ones and see what works. A lot has to do with your hair type as well, not so much the style.

I went through 5 hair products until I found one that works. It is just trial and error. I wouldn't use a spray or anything that is like a jelly. I found creams work best. Vo5 makes good hair products in my experience.

ok thanks guys. I guess it does depend on hair quality and whatnot. My hair has CRAP quality which is why I need the wet look and to keep it very short. If I leave it dry it looks like a birds nest or something.

That hair conditioner doesn't sound like it would have a firm hold but thanks anyway.
I'll check out V05.
