I've measured regular 1k boots and the McClean and they fit me the same. Given that the only change is a cap-toe, I very much doubt they are using a different last on the McClean.

agreed on sizing mcclean vs. original 1k, look and feel to be the exact same fit, if measuring right out the box on both.  CXL stretches quite a bit, relative to other leathers, so you will find older pairs fit larger than brand new.

My boot resole has been a nightmare, first time I wore them once and the heel plate fell off. Then I wear them again this weekend and I rip the whole sole off while taking them off. WTF?

I made the post in reference to the black 1Ks I bought a couple of years ago. It's the only other 1K I have. Both are the same size and pushed against the wall.

We're comparing apples to oranges here. I'm talking about Made in USA 1000 Mile boots. The black ones you posted are a different model.

You quoted me so I replied.

I'm not as knowledgable on the various models as other members. The guy asked a question and I replied with what I know.

Everything on this page, plus the 721 and 744's I'm confident are all the exact same last: http://www.wolverine.com/US/en/1000MileCollection

Sounds like time to find a better cobbler. Using review sites and apps such as Yelp! can help.

Fairly limited sizing, but Ben Silver has Rockfords on sale for $199.50 online right now.

Nice! Do they have any burnishing at all on them? I'm wanting to get some because it looks like they don't.

Not a fan of the burnishing on my regular tan 1ks.

No burnishing. And I agree that they look better with no burnishing.
