Wolverine 1000 Mile Boot Review - Page 426

Umm, they are likely comparing to something like the White's semi-dress . I don't think that anyone would say that the 1K boot is 'aesthetically extremely similar' to the smoke jumper.

Ya buddy! Mine have been going that way for awhile now, and still clean up pretty nice. Good job.

Here is mine.

They don't even come CLOSE to the solid build of a red wing beckman or iron ranger. Nor a semi-dress.

However, I hate my 1Kmiles. The right boot is fast becoming a shapeless mushy blob full of wrinkles and flacidity.

My red wings are bullet proof compared to my wolverines. There is just no real comparison.

I really do not have a dog in this fight, but please everyone look up the definition of the word aesthetically .

I will concede that aesthetically speaking (the beauty and look of the boot is easy on eyes), however, the build quality and materials used are far superior with Whites and others.

My intention was not to start a fight but to point out that even though 1000 Miles may look like a work boot, they are far from it. Pretty but not functional.

We're going to have to disagree on that one. I have documented 5 years of brutal use and they just clean up and keep right on going.

What experience do you have with White's Boots to claim that the materials and construction aren't superior to Wolverine's?

Did he say that Wolverines were superior? I didn't read that. He simply stated that he's been abusing his for years, and they haven't fallen apart.

I've been wearing mine for 2+ years without any issues (I wear them around 5 days a week)...

He stated that he disagreed with gentfarmer about something, I'm not sure if he was referring to White's using better materials and having superior build quality or to 1000 Miles being pretty and not functional or both.

What this thread needs is some good photos of storms and Wolverine 1K boots being worn in them.

What it needs is less shitposters. I like when people post good, bad or indifferent experiences in all threads, but seems like several people have an irrational crusade against w1k's and really love to belabor a point. Chromexcel scuffs. White's are better. Coconut oil is the best way to treat bull penis. We get it.

Sorry, I don't want to shit this place up. Please return to sycophantism and baking unnecessarily waxed boots.

I can do that, sort of. I was wearing my Lathams when I decided to do an overnight two state storm chase for lightning shots. If you live in the midwest then there's a good chance that you experienced the severe Mesoscale Storm Complex that rolled through June 2nd through the 4th. Here's a shot from early morning on the 4th.

I don't take pics of my feet when I'm out chasing. Sorry. I'll post pics of the Lathams a little later. I'm getting ready to chase down another severe weather event that's impacting the area.

And nothing of value was lost.
