I mentioned RRL, because I once bought a few of their shirts in NYC and one of them was missing a button (which I recognized when back in Europe). So I sent an email to RRL, and 2 weeks later there was an envelope containing 5 spare buttons in the mail.

Never buy a shirt that does not have spare buttons (of all sizes) stitched onto them. I'm surprised that RRL shirts don't have them, but it has been very long since I have bought any RRL shirts. Cost-cutting measures.

So i went to a local shop to try the Originals in rust and fell in love with them. I tried on both a 10.5 and a 11 and they both felt great, the 10.5 being on the smaller end. However, both of them had the same amount of heel lift. I liked how the 11s looked on my feet as the 10.5 made my feet look kinda small, which is odd for someone who is 6 foot 3.

Will the heel lift reduce after wearing them in?, side note, i did not tighten all the upper lace loops. Will they stretch a significant amount? How do i take care of them (oils, conditioners)? Will the Rust colour darken or lighten over time?

I am going to purchase them online from cranes once the 20% coupon is back up.

sorry for all the questions, this is the first time i am spending over $150 on some footwear, so im treating it as an investment that will last for a long time

@Crane's

PM me for a code.

I made the mistake as was wearing regular nike ankle socks. The 10.5 felt tight on the width side and my toes were slightly touching the front. I did not lace them up properly either, only went up to the first loop. Going to purchase the 11s because if i wear proper socks, and lace them up properly, they will be more comfortable in the long run.

No you need to wear the socks you plan on wearing and get your feet measured. From how it sounds you are trying on boots that are too small.

Yea i agree that the 10.5s were a tad on the small side. My normal shoe size is 12 and the sales associated suggested that i size down 1. Feet would have been swimming in a 11.5.

Im going to go back and try them again with the proper socks

Not sure if this has been asked here but are Addisons the exact same sizing as the originals?

I would say yes

I wear 10d in both and see no difference in length and width.

i have some weird number on mine new tan wolverines plus one boot is 1cm(roughly) taller than the other.

The leather for the tan felt softer compared to mine rust when they were new,and the finish felt "different" maybe its just me.

And another example for Wolverine's great QC. Please don't tell me you're accepting a pair of boots showing different tallness!

Anyone buy these online? Where is the cheapest site to get them and could I return if the fit wasn't too good?

Cheers for any advice.

Last pair I bought was the Morleys, which were ordered with a 15% off coupon from Sherman Brothers. Overall relatively good price. They were drop shipped direct from wolverine.
I think it depends on the style you are looking for.
Eastdane.com is currently running a 30% off on the Addison's but I have no experience with them.

I just purchased a few pair.  I purchased the Wolverine 1000 Mile Addison (10D) in brown from Nordstrom for $222, they price-matched FS Fashion from Amazon.  I did have to pay tax, which made the total $242, but if I don't like the Addisons, I can easily return.

I just pulled the trigger last night on getting the Wolverine 1000 Mile Original (10D) in rust from FS Fashion through Amazon.  I got them for $208!  I had them in my shopping cart for almost two weeks and watched the price drop from $264 all the way down to $208.

Note, for the Nordstrom price match, I did that via the chat feature and the first customer service rep wouldn't match the price, saying that it would have to be with Amazon as the seller only.  The second rep (about 2 hours later), didn't have that issue and immediately sold me a pair of boots.

Excited to get them in this coming week!

I also have the Morleys with the rough hide finish and the originals in black.  These are truly the best fitting boots I've ever had.  And I like them much more than my RW Beckman's, which are harder to get on, and my heel slips.

Pics of the height difference?

No idea what the numbers mean... Probably stuff stamped from horween.

Previously cranes had thought the tans
At be predator leather rather than chromexcel. Do yours happen to specify on the box or the little card they come with?

yes ok maybe the height differences are not that big but,the eyelets are on a different level, i obenaufed them ,probably would have a difficult time returning back to the store . :\
