So my 1Ks are only a few months old, and the leather insole on one of the boots has become unglued. is this the kind of thing i can fix myself with super glue, or is it better to take to a cobbler?

Does anyone know what kind of a shank Wolverine uses in the 1k mile boots?

Wow, your rust boots look exactly like the brown now.

That's more a function of the daylight vs inside light and my camera. They do darken a tad after a good coating of Saphir Reno, but not to full brown, and only temporarily.

Stretching is pretty minimal. I found that my true size fit a bit too tight even though the length was right. By sizing up a half size I was able to add in a cushy insole and make them far more comfy. I think I did it right.

Quick question? Is there a reason my posts keep disappearing? I've posted twice... but when I check to see if anyone has replied, my post is gone...

Are the two blemishes on the left boot anything to be concerned about? Will a good coating of Montana Pitch Blend help cover them up? I wasn't expecting 100% perfection by any means... But then again, these boots aren't cheap. Your thoughts?

Ok time to find the filson oil locally.  If not i will be calling your store.  I havent even worn the 1ks yet, and im already thinking about getting another pair soon.

Where can I get this kit?

Just ordered a pair of brown 1000 mile boots from Crane's. Highly recomend them. Great price and friendly service. Now I need to go back through the thread again and figure out what I need to order to take care of these...

I'm trying to figure it out. It's not in the ordering system. The only thing I come up with is the care kit in the fancy leather and waxed cotton banker's bag. While we are on this subject it appears to me that the care products are Montana PB products bottled under license. Many people use their products with great success.

That's easy, Lexol cleaner, Filson boot oil and Snoseal. Another option is Obenauf's cleaner, oil and LP.

So it looks like an opportunity is arising for me. Perhaps I should put together a care kit with instructions in a tin or wood box and sell it. Now all I need is a name for the kit.

Was all set to order the Obenauf's but then I read BrianMendoza's posts on the Gentleman Travelers thread. Am thinking about going his route of using the Red Wing Conditioner and Venetian Shoe Cream since these aren't going to be abused. Still pondering....
