Is it true I need to order US9 size boots to get correct fit?

Maybe there is someone with same feet size as my?

What size of 1000 Mile Boot do you wear?

I'm asking because I'm in Russia and there is no way to find them in local stores at my city.

I want to buy them online, but it's hard to choose correct size :(

What size should I buy?

If you are wearing thick socks like the sports ones get them TTS (true to size). If you are wearing thinner socks like for the office ones get them half size down.

Based on my experience wearing one after sometimes wearing thick sports socks, I wish I got them TTS (US 9) rather than the Wolverine recommended half size down (US 8.5). They are quite comfortable but after long walking and standing my toes don't have much wiggling space. I'm a normal D shape footer.

My question is....if I live in an area that doesn't see much rain/snow and I most likely won't be taking the boots through tremendously rough conditions do I need to apply these? or would only a conditioner be ok for treating before first wear?

following that up....do you suggest obenaufs oil or venetian shoe creme

I use Chamberlain's LM #3. Many recommended to condition the boots before first use.

Nice advice, but once again, I'm in Russia, there is no such things in here.

Should I buy one to measure my feets? :paranoia: I think it's too much.

So I guess it's better to wait for someone with same size to answer about his boots :)

Fantastic color! I want the same.

What's your size? Can you measure length of your feet?

It's funny I debated for weeks about what color to get because I thought brown or rust would be a safer option but those colors wouldn't truly get me a new look. I just went for tan and I must say they are nice. Not as versatile but that's fine. I'll be debating which color to get next.

I got a 11.5 D and it fits perfect, definitely not big. I'm glad I didn't follow the "These boots run way too big" advice that is floating around. I typically wear 11.5-12's depending on the width. For example I just bought a pair of Calvin Klein Ellias and those were 12's because they are too narrow at 11.5.

@dennt: if trying on (which is of course the best way to determine the perfect size for you) is not possible, I would recommend to visit the Allen Edmonds homepage.

They provide a pdf file which is supposed to be identical to the Brannock device. If you print this file you can measure your feet by your own (please ensure to adjust print sizing, advice is given!). While measuring: don't forget to wear the kind of socks which you are going to wear with this boots (dress socks, sport socks, hicking socks etc.).

Link:http://www.allenedmonds.com/wcsstore/AllenEdmonds/Attachment/content/size_and_fit_guide.pdf

From my experience:

-foot length: 273mm (measured with slightly thicker dress socks)

-size measured with this pdf file: 10C

-my size in classic 1K boot: US 9 (normal width = D = medium)

Maybe this will help you although I would like to note and warn you:feet can be so different and length is not the only indicator saying which size of a boot might fit.

Sometimes feet don't match to a boot, irrespective of the size of the boot.

Good luck!

Cheers,

Chris

Awesome. Some post treatment shots would be great for comparison. My tans changed a lot and i never got pics as good  as those of them out of the box.

Update: I finally got around to polishing up the other W1K boot, so now they are ready for a photoshoot.

Should be able to do that this week sometime so I can get Crane's some photo's for the site.

Life has been hectic, but I'll get to it.

Mirror-shining W1K's is kind of hilarious.

To chime in on sizing, I measure a 10D on the Brannock, though I like a little extra toe room and have high arches.  I wear 10D in Trubalance, 10D in White's, and 10D in 1000 Mile boots. Also 10D in my old Chippewas.  I do not find that 1000 Miles run large; if anything slightly tighter than most workboots.

Ok, according to this http://www.allenedmonds.com/wcsstore/AllenEdmonds/Attachment/content/size_and_fit_guide.pdf

I have 10.5D :uhoh: And I'm totally confused now.

I have Red Wing Iron Ranger size 9D and they fit perfectly!

WTF?

I've been reading through, but was hoping somebody could help me out.

I am new to leather care in general.

Just purchased a pair of White Pine 1000K's in the natural CXL. What's the best lotion or conditioner for these? And I don't plan on waterproofing at this time... or should I? Assume normal city use!

Much thanks in advance!
