Wolverine 1000 Mile Boot Review - Page 269

On topic, I bought rust 1k boots from Dave. Great service and great product.

I'm not going to be putting these through any harsh conditions so I'll be skipping Snoseal. Just trying to decide between Obenaufs LP or Chamberlain No 3. Opinions?

Listen up! Milw50717 and I are going to put together a comprehensive guide about the 1000 mile boots. We'll cover everything from sizing, general care, waterproofing, types of leather, repairs and so on. Basically every question you could ask will be addressed in detail. I'm even considering firing up the video camera for things like how to waterproof, clean and oil them.

Sound good?

I plan on making my first purchase or two from this brand soon, so I'm looking forward to this!

I read this thread for two weeks before commenting .. And eventually buying my 1k's . During this time I noticed many many sizing questions, before I ordered my 1k's I took a trip into town, found a store that sold them and tried them on in size 10, 9.5. Sure enough .5 size down was right for me.
Please please if your reading this... For the love of God, go try on 1k's before asking a sizing question. 1k's are sold everywhere, it's not hard to find a pair to try on. More pics of 1k's and less sizing questions..

I just got these in the mail. Is that bad? Everything else about the boots is fine.

That's normal. Here is mine for reference. It's the extra layer of leather they use for sole. I guess they forgot to trim on yours a little bit.

Thanks Cranes! After reading this whole thread, I didn't figure that out.

could be barbed wire scars in the leather.  sorry but a little off topic, was looking today and not all of the 1k boots are made in the US.  someone tell me this isn't true.

If some are not made in the US, Wolverine needs to update that image
