I'm glad nobody else seems to be getting screwed by this guy. I have two defective pairs from him though. Wolverine responded quickly about the problem at first, but after requesting I send them pictures of the boots they have not gotten back to me.

I should probably post pictures here just so folks can know what to look for when shopping for these things. One boot has a very strange twist to the entire upper, the top of the heel counter is off to the side by an inch or so, and the lacing is off to the side in the front as well.

Do post pictures, this was from juancanjura?

I bought two pairs from him as well. I've messaged him through email before, and he seems like a nice guy

I just ordered a pair from him. He seems to have good feedback. He told me these were not seconds. I will see Tuesday or so.

Did you try contacting him at all? There is always Ebay & Paypal to contact as well. Those boots sound pretty rough I am interested in a pic, could you post some for us.

Dang. I see where you're coming from. I would expect to pay that price for a one day job, but a week is a bit of time for something that apparently can be done properly in a couple hours. I pay $25 bucks out the door for same day service.

To be honest though, I've been considering buying a set of half soles to practice with. They're usually around $8, and not to take anything away from the cobbler, but I'm sure it doesn't require a master skill set. My dumbed down assumption of the process is: tracing the sole onto the half sole, exacto knifing it, using shoe-goo or some sort of strong/flexible adhesive, and then sanding down excess exacto-cutting at the same time flushing the edge with the sole. I've noticed after picking up both boots, that the edge of my outsoles had been very evenly sanded down and then re-conditioned/finished to look like new. I'm sure that's the part when a cobbler would say that your exacto knife cut doesn't have to be perfect because the sanding will fix any imperfections and make the soles look better anyway.

Don't use shoe-goo, use contact cement (Lesson learned the hard way). Actually its better to just let the cobbler do it on hindsight.

because for 9$ less there's always that chance they **** up and do a worse job, making the overall 200$ investment less meaningful

EDIT: I'm not saying it's not worth a try. But it's not like 39$ is in any way ripping you off, and if you're happy with the result, I don't see the point in searching out somewhere else entirely new

ok i see what you mean. you have a point.

I will try to post some pictures. I did contact him, he was very rude from the first moment I suggested there was something wrong with the boots. He even managed to call me an idiot, and pretty much told me to go screw myself. The ebay not as described case is pending, he has a week or so to respond.

Hopefully Wolverine will respond, nothing so far...

Kinda seems strange he would be called an idiot. Wonder if both pairs were purchased at the same time.

Anyone had any experience with Randallboots or 04hdfatboyfund?

You bought the boot march 5th, and I have a 7 day return policy. You didn't say anything until april 11th in which you opened a case against me at the same time. You said that after wearing them a while you noticed that the stiching was crooked! They are not seconds, but they are also not made from a cnc machine. That's why I called you a idiot! If anyone reading this has any doubts about me feel free to contact me. Cause of this guy I'm pulling my Wolverine's of ebay, and only listing them on my online store! That way if there are any problems I can deal with them directly, not a third party like ebay!

To me this sounds like the real deal. He was being vague and never posted pictures when asked. I always had great service and 1st quality boots from you and after i posted about you on here everybody had the same experience. The name comment is a good point if you make it the name of your store, it would be easier to promote your store as well. Keep us updated about your store.

Well I wouldn't expect to hear from him anytime soon on this forum. It seems as though he was banned today.

It might have had to do with posting pictures of an upcoming Wolverine special release boot... Of course I won't speak for the forum moderators, but it probably wasn't a strong move on his part to post pictures of a boot that Wolverine has yet to release on their own website.
