Do 1000 miles fit true to size? This site implies that they fit half a size large. Comments?

I wear a 13 in vans and adidas, 11 in clarks and converse all-stars, and went down to 10.5 for the 1000 miles... they fit perfectly

I had to size down a full size and wear them with thick socks regularly, but that's just me.

Did you size down from your dress shoes size/properly measured Brannock device size, or did you size down from sneaker size? They are definitely 1 full size down from sneakers, but I think they are only 1/2 size down from shoes on a Brannock last. (most dress shoes)

It wouldn't surprise me if you sized down a full size from sneakers, that is my size as well. But I wouldn't necessarily recommend sizing down a full size from your dress shoe size. That's what I did - bought an 8D when my brannock/dress size is 9D. I get along fine with thin socks but my feet feel pretty tight with thicker socks. I now know I should have sized to 8 1/2.

I cant speak to personal style, but I tried on both kinds and thought the Iron Rangers felt much more sturdy and supportive. The 1000 mile felt pretty flat in the insole and less substantial feel.
