i'm a big fan of Bumble & bumble products too. i'm apprenticing as a side job at a B&b network salon, and while i still use my drugstore stuff bc i'm a big cheapo, the stuff i have been able to splurge on i can definitely tell the difference in quality. they do cost an arm and a leg but in my experience the higher end salon stuff lasts longer, has better memory, can be reactivated multiple times, and you don't have to use as much of it. i don't have to worry about flakiness or stuff being too sticky/tacky. of course, this is also dependent on the competence of your stylist to reccommend the right product and show you how to use it correctly. i know a couple stylists at my salon have to go to B&b headquarters annually for continual education and teach the rest of the salon everything they learn to remain 'in the network' and sell the product. anyway, i'm a big fan of their Gellac for rockin a vintage slicked back pompadour - the strength of Murray's but it washes out, ha.
