I was wondering the same a few days ago when I stumbled on this link from a French SF-like forum. Apparently decent quality, recommended as well the ebay shop Kingcraig

The prices of Johnstons cashmere scarves in their online store are reasonable too. How are these compared to Malo, Roda, Cristiano Fissore, Drakes for which I paid at least 4 times more.

Quality is exceptional as they ate the only uk fully vertically owned company from raw product to final designed goods. They make mainly under other brand names, ie drakes, Burberry etc etc.

I have a johnstons cashmere scarf and bought a bunch of others as presents for other people, they have held up very well so far. All made in scotland (although the cashmere itself is not from scotland) imo the quality is pretty damn good for the price.

STP has good deals on them. My wife loves the one I got her for Christmas.

They're okay. Definitely wouldn't say exceptional, not in the same league as malo, begg, etc.

I purchased a scarf from the same ebay seller and couldn't be happier. Fine hand and very good quality for the price.

I think with Johnstons you get excellent quality but without the super high price of a fashion brand. I would buy them again.
